A better way to knock Hillary off her game would be invite the papers server who the Hillary campaign keeps blowing off. Trump could invite him on the stage and he could walk over to Hillary, lay the papers on her podium and tell her “Mrs. Clinton, you are officially served.” Would make for some interesting viewing.

The average Trump supporter will be disappointed because Trump is not Trump, and if he doesn’t hit back hitlery will relentlessly attack even more and the media will assault Trump and re-play constantly the attacks/insults/etc against him.
“The Trump campaign has no comment” is not a strong close.
Inaction or silence is not a response, and trying to be the “adult” in this fight means you are fighting by Marcus of Queensbury rules while hitlery street fights.

The re-tweets expands Trump's reach exponentially. He may have 11.7 million followers but through re-tweets, he's likely reaching 50 million people or more. All in the course of a lazy Saturday afternoon with zero dollars expenditure.
Some may initially see this as a "low-class" move but when they learn that originally Crooked Hillary was going to put Mark Cuban in front row to make funny faces at Trump like a 10-year-old child, Trump's countermove will make more sense. Sexual harassment is much more serious than some childish billionaire making funny faces.
Crooked Hillary thought she was being "cute" and thought she would gain some cachet with the Millennials over this stunt. But instead, she's being made to look rather lame and all she ended up doing was giving Trump a reason to highlight the fact that she condoned and defended her husband's predatory behavior against women.
She brought the equivalent of a slingshot to a gunfight.
