What’s up with ya’ll?
As a southern lady, born and raised in Virginia, and having resided for close to 20 years in Alabama, I submit the following comment with the intent of interjecting humor to thwart bad feelings.
My take, Pop, was that dp was being complimentary of us southeners. For some reason, which IDK, you seemed to have taken offense. Perhaps our interpretations are different. It then seemed to me that dp interpreted your reply as challenging to him - IDK. And then...
OMG(osh). Ya’ll are BOTH yankees. And here’s my feeble attempt, shared with me 30 years ago while living in Miami for several years, to make you smile: “Yankees are like hemorrhoids. If they come down and go back up, they’re okay. If they come down and stay, they’re a pain in the a$$.”
My intent is to make you laugh. ;-)
