Sorry Barack, I don’t accept the premise, that poverty in the inner city is due to racial discrimination. There is a poverty of values in the inner city, but not poverty due to legalized or institutional racism. Sorry, that dog won’t hunt.
And the gun violence in our inner cities, has nothing to do with racism or legalized discrimination of any kind. That gun violence is due to young black men, voluntarily, choosing to join youth gangs, and do God knows what criminal activity, with guns. That problem is due to poor life choices, not racism.
Oh we’ve understood it for a long time, Barry. We’ve been discriminated against for the last 40 - 50 years being forced to work an extra day a week to pay for other’s benefits. Iwe just don’t whine and complain about it; we do something about it and earn our way.
