Jeremy Corbyn will commit Labour to fighting the next election on a platform of continued open door immigration from Europe, as controlling numbers can “fan the flames of fear” and make it “more difficult to take a holiday in Europe” for the middle classes. The leader of the opposition is reportedly “relaxed” about record levels of immigration, and “it is not an objective to reduce the numbers, to reduce immigration” his spokesman told Sky News.

Corbyn seems very happy to remain an embattled and precarious leader of a party designed not to win.

Across the public sector, I doubt if Labor could get more than 10-percent of the vote today. I think about half of the folks who were members a decade ago...have more or less walked away and won’t vote with them again. Corbyn? I think he will be around for at least three more years before the party stumbles into a deep pit with no return possible.
