I think in places like California, where they persecute people for defending themselves with a firearm, the officials involved should have their home addresses published, for any people who want to pay their house a 3 a.m. visit. (Just to say “hi”, lol)
But the actual laws on self defense are sketchy. Even if a person had a CCL and shot somebody, he's likely in hot water of a civil suit, if not criminal.
