NEW YORK (AP) More sophisticated cameras. Security robots. Customers feeling shaken by recent attacks at U.S. malls may not notice huge changes but mall operators are testing and putting in place new technologies and other measures to offer people more protection without intruding too much on their shopping time.
Mall executives say shoppers have been adamantly opposed to airport security tactics like metal detectors. So they're trying other things, and increasingly using mass notifications that let them send text and email alerts to tenants within seconds in case of a crisis.

If the mall won’t protect us, and presumes to deny us the right to self-defense, the answer is obvious: we won’t go to the malls.
There’s nothing there anyway but Sears, Pennys, boutiques, overpriced pretzels and sunglasses kiosks. So screw `em.

Good salesmanship is (generally) a lost art.
Seriously though...
I’ve been known to buy right on the spot when I’ve encountered a knowledgeable salesperson that treats me respectfully ..even if I know I can get a little better price online.
I’m not completely opposed to that.
What I do is examine the reviews on Amazon, then go buy it at Jet.com or B&H Photo Video (free overnight for new phone).
Maybe installing bigger No Guns signs will keep terrorists out.
You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.
