This is horrific, but I don’t understand how it could happen. Wouldn’t the families be looking to either visit them (if they didn’t know they had passed) or bury them (if they were informed)?
I suspect they maybe older and have no families. These articles never go that in depth to inform you of a small fact like that. No one to claim the bodies. To stupid to just go ahead and send them to a funeral home for burial in a local cemetery Military section or Military one. Don’t want to pay for that part either. Cremation is the cheapest way to go.
