I watched the opening of Kiefer Sutherland’s new drama. I liked “24” so I thought I would try his new one. I missed the opening episode, but evidently he became president because everyone on the chain of command above him and DC had been killed and destroyed by terrorists.

But as the show started, a scene of a policeman beating a muslim teenager was at least co-equal in importance to the the decapitation of the main governmental personnel from the president on down, if not more important. His wife, in a distraught manner, said, “He’s seventeen.” I turned it off.

I came across the show also but not the first one so I missed that catastrophic happening. I felt the same way with the scene you mentioned but I stuck with it. Can’t say I’ll be on the lookout for another episode as it wasn’t that great. I did think it would be good with Kiefer Sutherland but apparently won’t measure up to 24! I never missed one of those episodes if I could help it...
