It worked for Obama in his Illinois career, so why not run the same scam in other races?
Somewhere I read that “we are where we are today because people like this are allowed to die peacefully of old age, at home surrounded by friends and family”, or something to that effect.
I wonder how long this kind of crap would continue if the people behind ProgressNow were “visited” some night and admonished for their participation in such seditious actions (the visitors being careful about fingerprints, of course).

Obama benefitted from the Jack Ryan debacle in 2004. But Obama and the Dems did not cause it.
Republican consultant, Rod, who told me he only did things when he was paid to do them was hired by the Hastert-LaHood-Shimkus-Davis-Kjellander corruption wing of the ILGOP to spread the dirt on Jack Ryan.
Prior to that, in 2002 at a fundraiser, I told Jack Ryan that I had heard rumors about his personal life. I said I did not know if they were true or not. But regardless of whether they were true or false, he should take James Carville’s advice to come out with it himself.
If he came out with it himself, he could choose to whom to leak it to.. gossip columnist or political type.. friend or enemy. He could choose the timing, slow news day where it would lead..or busy news day where it would be buried inside.
By coming out with it early, it would be old news when he announced and really old news when people started paying attention to the campaign.
If the scandal really was bad and would sink his candidacy, it would be better to know that before and not after he had spent 5 million of his own money on the campaign.
So what was the scandal?
He did not have kinky sex with his sex goddess wife. That was the essence of the scandal that caused a good man with no spine to drop out and anoint Obama.
