Federal government to pursue criminal contempt charge against Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio
NBC News ^ | October 11, 2016 | Staff

Prosecutors said Tuesday they will charge Sheriff Joe Arpaio with criminal contempt-of-court for defying a judge's orders to end his signature immigration patrols in Arizona, exposing the 84-year-old lawman to the possibility of jail time and clouding his political future as he seeks a seventh term.

The announcement in federal court sets in motion criminal proceedings against the sheriff less than a month before Election Day and comes as he has taken on a prominent role on the national political stage in 2016, appearing alongside Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on several occasions.

Arpaio has acknowledged violating the order to stop the immigration patrols but insists his disobedience wasn't intentional.

It’s against the law to be a normal American. If you posses any value system of any kind at all you are a criminal.

January 20, 2017.

1) Trump gets sworn in.
2) Immediately fire Comey.
3) Pardon Sheriff Joe.

Issue the list of ‘to be indicted’ with Comey and Lynch at the top of the list! Sheriff Joe will not need a pardon once Lynch is behind bars awaiting grand jury hearing her treacherous deeds.

What have the progressives been saying about Trump’s statement that Hillary would be in jail under his administration? Something about the idea of jailing your political opponents and how horrible that would be?

Oh wait, charging political enemies with crimes makes one a banana republic.

Except when Democrats do it.

All Joe's gotta do is claim that he didn't intend to break the law.

Tell that the the sailor who used the Hillary defense, a month or so back, he went to the brig.

When Trump becomes president and reveals to the American public, the truth about Obamas past history

I remember when we all though Bush was going to expose what the Clintons had done to the Peoples House, he didn't. In fact his father adopted the Clintons into the Bush family.

They have hated Joe for years. When everyone else was forced to release criminals because of over crowding he instead used surplus military tents to house his overflow, saying it is good enough for our troops surely it is good enough for our criminals.
