You state: “I no longer wonder why we are where we are as a country, when so many have never, before this election, bothered to participate in determining their own fate.”
The fact is very simple: There never was anyone to vote for.
For the first time in my lifetime (and I’m 70) we actually have an INDIVIDUAL (not some face in the party) who will stand for what we want in our government. Before today we had no choice other than vote for one party or another but this is one of the few times in history that we can actually vote for a possible savior for our way of life, freedoms and country.

Well, there were tons of them to vote AGAINST!
I have spent a lifetime voting for the lesser of two evils.
My point was that more and more Americans have realized that we have reached a point where the loss of our way of life, freedoms and country has become a very real possibility, and are willing to vote against losing it. People who have never voted before in their lives. This is to be celebrated, 'cause the Dems don't have that kind of passion on their side. MAGA!
