Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz claimed at least one email was the subject of an 'alleged quid pro quo' involving the authorities and Undersecretary for Management Patrick Kennedy, according to Fox News.

'In return for altering the classification, the possibility of additional slots for the FBI at missions overseas was discussed,' Chaffetz said. 'Left to their own devices the FBI would never have provided these [records] to Congress and waited until the last minute. This is the third batch because [the FBI] didn’t think they were relevant.'

If it wasn’t for the British press, we would know hardly nothing about our transparent government. Pretty chipper for a one-time foe that we kicked back across the pond, as they say!

Because he belongs to a family that has been ‘sainted’ because his brother took one for the team?

A somewhat rhetorical question but how on earth does our American media get away with what they report and what they fail to report?

Why would an ‘overseas posting’ be a PLUM for an FBI agent?

Sounds more like PUNISHMENT.

Also- Since when does the FBI go overseas? I thought they only had DOMESTIC powers.

Another piece of evidence, in addition to Comey’s betrayal of justice, that the FBI is a corruption-and-criminality-tolerant bureau that needs to be disbanded and replaced.

Good that it’s reported here cause God knows the msm, none of them, will report it.

They’re too busy praising Alec Baldwin and making fun of Trump’s saying he “stinks”

No longer a republic. Maybe a banana republic, where the press is owned by the govt and the debt is staggering.

“how on earth does our American media get away with what they report and what they fail to report?”

Most Americans are intellectually lazy and morally bankrupt.

They neither seek or cherish the Truth with a capital “T”.

The FBI has been going overseas as advisors for many decades. I believe it was first at Bill Clinton's behest in response to the June 25, 1996 Kobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia that the FBI first went overseas en masse to be completely in charge on behalf of the US, going it mostly alone, though obviously with some help from and coordination with locals.

Depends on where overseas. Some locations are lovely, exotic, cosmopolitan for a while anyway. It used to be desirable to see the world.

I am wrong, This Patrick Kennedy is not Edward Kennedy’s son. I have thought for a long time that he was, but after looking into it further, not the same Kennedy.

I apologize for the error on my part.

Yes, and his father sold his soul to the devil for the democratic team. I can see though how John could be mistaken for Ted - they were all a mess.

I think Congress does not want to conduct an investigation because powerful Republicans are complicit. So you get what we have, a lot of huffing and puffing but no results.
