TCU is planning to establish a Cabinet-level position after a group of students sent a letter to administrators demanding efforts to improve campus inclusiveness and diversity, the school announced this week. The position would lead efforts regarding diversity and inclusion and providing additional training for all students, faculty and staff, a university statement said. University spokeswoman Holly Ellman confirmed that administrators received a list of 14 demands in a recent letter from the Black Students and Allies of TCU. The students have met with administrators over the last several weeks.

Remember when university was a place you attended classes in between drinking with your buddies?
This will be a makework job for a preferred minority to pretend they have a role in a modern economy - nothing more. I guess TCU hadn’t filled its quota of useless minority “fakeworkers”...
Jeez, what would happen if aggrieved white students sent a letter agitating for diversity limits, and an increase in diversity-blind merit policies?
Suck it up, you marshmallows!
When the become employees of a Fortune 500 company, they can organize a group of employees and send the CEO a list of their demands.
Black Students and Allies of TCU...
In other words from the crowd that will get a worthless degree and be on welfare by 24 :)
Oh goodie. More demands from the kollege kiddies.
Whenever I hear or read the words affirmative action, diversity or inclusion, I am reasonably certain that someone is urging preferential treatment to someone based on skin color, national origin, gender or sexual orientation. As a white male, I know the preferential treatment will not be for my benefit. The discrimination I will experience is not one of micro agression, but one supported by written policies, proceduress, regulations or laws.

Why would a school even accept a list of demands from students?
And from students who probably can’t even write them in cursive.
Mitch Daniels is the guy who just might do it ....
The demands are completely unreasonable, irrational even. These people are worthy of scorn and derision; instead they are validated and given a seat at the table.
My favorite part of the article is the whining about facing low expectations while at the same time demanding a $100 million endowment not tied to athletics. Are they implying they can’t qualify for the regular academic scholarships?
What a pathetic joke. No one is forcing you to attend this university. If you don’t like it then go somewhere else!
Back in The Day,
a bunch of university students got into see the univ president... with a petition.... asking that the school NOT build a big new building just to display its football trophies (the school had the reputation of being a football factory). The students complained that the money should rather be spent on a better dormitory (since the current one was twice condemned...once by the Health Department which did not like the rats and giant sized “Trojan Cockroaches”...and also the Building Safety Department (which objected to the fact that you could just pull bricks out of the wall at random anytime you wanted).
....
the president happened to not have too bad of a hangover that morning, so he was relatively lucid. He replied that the kids should return to their delapidated dorm and start studying instead of bothering him with trivial like the above. That, the college made more money from alumni who liked its football team than any other source of funds.
And that some of that football money was going to subsidize the petitioner’s tuition, so they should be grateful for the new football trophy display building,..it would increase donations splendidly, thank you.
End of student protest.
Incidentally, it was in the basement of that decrepit dorm that the college maintained a little secret CASH DISTRIBUTION office for their football players.
The administration should figure out how many janitors they need to let go to make up for the cost and make the student body preform their jobs.
Are they banning chalk, too?
” And Texas Christian University, a private religious institution of higher learning meekly accepts this. Unreal.”
The submission of the school annoys me more that the demands of the students.
.
Well, I demand a cabinet level post guarding common sense and logical thinking. In today’s world, that’s harder to find and far more important.
Every time they say, “We need more inclusivity!” I’ll jump up and say, “NO! You need brains!”
I’ll make them crazy. They hate brains.
