A couple of months ago there was an attack on a female parliament member by a British nationalist. Little coverage by media except to paint the guy as deranged.???
Which media? There was wall-to-wall coverage of Jo Cox’s murder in the British media, as there will be again when Mair’s trial opens next month.
It wasn't just an attack. He killed the MP Jo Cox. Since most people would say it is not normal to kill your opponents in a political referendum contest, he was either deranged or an extremist or both. Mair had spent time in a mental institution and admitted that this had been necessary. But neighbors said that he had just lived quietly. Maybe he just didn't have the mental wherewithal to put things in perspective during a time of political controversy.
