did the attorney have security clearance to go through the emails ?

Security issues aside, they have been more favorable than not. Thinkpads are still easily serviced, but they have cheapened out on the chassis for recent versions.
IMHO, their sweet spot was 2007-2013. They fixed the thermal issues from the 2005-06 models while delivering a solid chassis.
