While early voting in Texas on Monday, I overheard a young man telling others in line that the only choice was Hillary. He argued with five or six people.
Question: was he violating the campaigning law?
Sock, is that why we didn’t see any signs in the parking lot this year?
So if I wear a red shirt and someone else wears a blue shirt to go vote, will either of us be arrested for promoting the candidates? Probably me in the red shirt, as a blue shirt is probably more common then a red shirt.
If he were BLACK and DEMOCRAT and donning HILLARY stuff, I GUARAN-DAMN-TEE that federal civil rights lawyers would be descending on the place.
I’m just applying the same standard.
A few months ago I voted for Cruz while wearing a Cruz t-shirt and carrying a Cruz water bottle and had no problems.
No, it would not.
Would such police arrest such a person?
No, they would not.
Next question?
Yes:
Going in and voting and then leaving is neither loitering nor electioneering.
LV,
The city sign ordinance for polling places is up at 6:45 am, down by 5:30 pm. I was too lazy to do them this year. I have a huge Trump Pence sign for the gunshop.. Gunsmith says “can’t put it up. The shop will be firebombed.”
I called him a p*ssy.
Most of the Trump signs around town during the Primaries were put up by me and one other lady. I got a big Trump sign for GOP hq here. I was told their Dem landlady wouldn’t allow it.
Gillespie County Courthouse has lots of campaign signs up. Their gop are a more enthusiastic fun loving group than here.
I have tons of signs- all sizes, and 3 x 5 flags if you want any.
I probably would’ve put up signs around town, and at the Early Voting sites if we would’ve had rain. The ground is as hard as a rock right now which means carrying jugs of water, a screwdriver, and my deadhead mallet to put up signs. Very time consuming.
Indeed. My sister votes there. She lives just inside the Gillespie County line. I've been contemplating a move there my own self. The beer and live tunes there are outstanding.
LOL
I have a friend who voted wearing a blue hat that had Trump’s name in red, capital letters, and under it his campaign slogan. No one said a word to her about it.
For an extra extra touch, make it orange. :)
yes
