Jehovah’s Witnesses opened a place in the center of town when I was a little tyke. The name tortured my small mind. Even then, I was a student of civics, law, and politics. At the time, I knew nothing of Jehovah’s Winesses but the sign on the building that kept haunting me. I could not reconcile the ideas of justice and good government with the existence of a place where you could hire witnesses as needed for your court case. It seems Allred has run with the notion and has been going gangbusters running Allred’s Witnesses.

Jehovah’s Witnesses opened a place

I have one in my neighborhood. One time on a nice Saturday morning 2 young men from there knocked on my door. I was in a good mood so I invited them in, offered some iced tea, and asked them how I could help them. They both looked confused, looked at each other, and then one of them turned to me and said "I don't know. We never got this far before!"
