Flipped means that she is giving incriminating information against Hillary and others, and that she will testify if needed in upcoming trials.

Thanks for the info, Enterprise. But who is doing the actual "flipping"? The article states:

Prince also said that both Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin have been flipped by the NYPD.

So, would you say that Huma flipped to the NYPD, or that the NYPD flipped her? Or are both uses acceptable? Incidentally, the latter sounds kind of vulgar. ;)

The NYPD would be investigating her on State charges, and I'm not sure what those charges would be. But, maybe they would be considering something like accessory to a felony that Anthony might have committed, or maybe others yet unknown are also involved in felony crimes against New York State law, that she might be involved in or have credible knowledge of. The NYPD would convey through her attorney(s), that she is facing serious State time, but if she cooperated, her cooperation might be taken into account by a sentencing judge. If she agrees, and provides evidence and/or statements, she has been "flipped." And Obama cannot pardon her on State charges, nor can he shield her from State civil lawsuits.

It would work the same way with the Federal investigators. They would tell her, via her attorney(s), that she is facing substantial federal prison time if she is convicted. We are assuming that she has extensive knowledge of Federal crimes that Hillary or others may have committed. Again, they would tell her that a sentencing judge would take her cooperation into consideration. Again, if she agrees and provides evidence and/or statements, she has been "flipped."

But this is tricky. Since there's federal charges, anything she might be convicted of could be headed off with a pardon by Obama. Once that happens, she need say nothing to the Feds, and she would only be worried about State of New York charges.

One more thing that might be a bit tricky would be that even if Obama pardoned everyone involved on all Federal charges, there might be things that come up which would still make it possible for the State of New York to file civil lawsuits for monetary fraud, and again, as pointed out above regarding Huma, Obama cannot shield them from those lawsuits.
