DRUDGE: '48 hours of madness' coming after FBI announcement stirs the 'hornets nest'
business insider ^ | 11/6/16 | darcy

Posted on 11/06/2016 3:21:14 PM PST by knak

Internet news mogul Matt Drudge reacted on Sunday to news the FBI had cleared Hillary Clinton by forecasting that a stormy news cycle would dominate the final days of the presidential race. “Comey's head-fake just made the hornets nest even crazier!” the Drudge Report founder tweeted. The conservative news aggregator added: “48 hours of madness upcoming!!” It was not clear to what Drudge was referring, but the Clinton campaign warned on Sunday that any bombshell emails published by WikiLeaks in the final two days of the election would “probably” not be authentic. FBI Director James Comey informed Congress on Sunday that a review of new emails found in relation to the bureau’s investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server had not yielded any reason for charges against the Democratic presidential nominee. Drudge has been a fierce Trump supporter throughout the 2016 campaign cycle. Shortly after the FBI announcement, a headline on his website read: "CONFUSED COMEY CLEARS HER AGAIN!"

I'm not sure this helps her at all. Given the whole sorry sequence of events with DoJ and Comey, it all flunks the smell test big time.

I think you are right. It simply reinforces the notion that the entire DC establishment is corrupt.

There have been several polls on this issue, and in every one of them, a majority (albeit a slim one) said that Clinton did something illegal.

Most of the remainder said it was unethical, but not illegal. Less than 1 in five said she did nothing wrong.

However, Trump's numbers were inverted: a majority said "unethical, but not illegal", and less than 1 in five said he did nothing wrong.

I just can't see a significant number pulling the lever for Clinton while believing she did something illegal.

That’s what I alluded to early in the thread — the groundwork is laid for a false flag with several excuses.

I’m not fond of weasel words. If he is planning to prosecute someone else, he should have said so.

I think this is all political theater designed to protect himself and/or the Clintons and other guilty parties. I’m sick of it. I’m disgusted with the whole lot of them.

We need Trump in a landslide.

Lock them all up.

Once again....... this needs to be corrected.

NYPD has no jurisdiction or the security clearances to conduct an investigation into emails that involve classified information. None. Zip. Nada.

They cannot act outside the scope of their investigation and that is into Anthony Weiner for his communications with a minor for immoral purposes. That is their investigation.

If (I am sure there were) there were classified emails on the computer device(s) they obtained during their investigation they would be required by law to turn it all over to the FBI.

People must understand this - it’s FBI or congress - those are the only two entities that can investigate this and DOJ has to press charges for FBI. Congress can make lots of noise and potentially impeach her if she is elected or demand charges for lying to congress, but I won’t hold my breath.

It’s all or nothing on Tuesday. If she wins justice will never prevail. If she loses then Trump can call for an independent counsel to lead the investigation for referral of charges.

Talk about a rigged system.

Hate to say the initial announcement about an “Al Qaeda” attack had me thinking false flag almost immediately.

When was the last time anyone heard Al Qaeda doing much of anything in the West let alone the US? Then all of a sudden, the day before the election? ISIS at least came out with urging its loser supporters to attack on Election Day.

It smells. It feels like something is coming. Don’t take much at face value right now; IMHO, just focus on getting out the vote.

Trump is going to take FL and NC and that’s going to put the Hillary Media into a foul mood on Election Night.

We have heard that something “earth shattering” is coming over and over. These “just wait” announcements have made people millions in clickbait advertising.

The stage is set and there is more than enough out there for people to determine her corruption. We are the jury and the election has become the verdict.

FWIW - I expect wikileaks to keep releasing stuff, but at this point it should be clear.... if Assange had something that juicy he would have released it. Despite Assange’s statement in July that she would be arrested it has not happened. Seriously doubt it happens tomorrow and the next day is the election.

Trying to be alert when out.

Heading out to top off tank in just a bit.

Just made scrambled eggs with orange, green, yellow pepper and yellow onion (a bit of red onion) — fried it all up in butter and soy sauce. Added eggs (whisked with salt, pepper, paprika, lemon pepper, milk) and then several slices of cheese.

Skillet-fried bacon with the organge, green, yellow pepper and yellow onion (no soy sauce in that) — the bacon is outstanding.

Toasted up some bread for a scrambled-egg-and-cheese sandwich (white bread). Good eatin’.

Saving my canned, boxed and bagged stuff for emergencies. Only eating, mostly, stuff coming up on rotation dates or freezer / fridge stuff, especially right now.

Stay alert folks!

Federal Employee Whistleblowers — Whistleblower Protection Act

Many local, state and federal employees are protected from retaliation for reporting legal violations or government waste or fraud by the government agencies they work for. Local, State and Federal employee whistleblowers are protected by the Whistleblower Protection Act of 1989 (WPA) and the Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act of 2012.

Department of Veterans Affairs physician Katherine Mitchell risked her career to expose the VA’s recent manipulation of scheduling data. Bob Woodward’s “Deep Throat” helped bring the Watergate scandal to light.

Whistleblowers play a critical role in government accountability, and the Senate recognized that fact on Wednesday by passing a resolution designating July 30, 2014 as National Whistleblower Appreciation Day. The vote came by unanimous consent on the 236th anniversary of the first whistleblower law.

According to Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), who sponsored Wednesday’s resolution, the original measure was enacted on July 30, 1778. It said: “Resolved that it is the duty of all persons in the service of the United States … to give the earliest information to Congress or any other proper authority of any misconduct, frauds or misdemeanors committed by any persons in the service of these states, which may come to their knowledge.”

By definition, whistleblowers are informants. Many are seen as heroes, but others are controversial. Below are a few examples of famous whistleblowers. You can be the judge of whether they deserve celebration.

Despite Assange’s statement in July that she would be arrested it has not happened.

Well Assange can't be blamed.

He's put out enough to justify arrest, charges being filed, trial, guilty verdict, and even, by my read, a firing squad.

The fact that none of this has happened is a condemnation of where we as a nation are, not of Assnage.

Most likely most people don't even know about the email investigation ... they are to busy taking "selfies" for their Facebook account doing stupid things.

They are the ones that don't vote

the ONLY sensible explanation is that they KNOW whats coming out....and Comey had to cover them and cover them quick by his disclaimer...

WHY would they come out early today and say any wild wike leaks in the next couple of days are probably fake?...

they're in cya mode...

but, you know what, Trump leads in many polls, maybe most polls....

he's got a great chance to win, Comey or no Comey....
