DRUDGE: '48 hours of madness' coming after FBI announcement stirs the 'hornets nest'
business insider ^ | 11/6/16 | darcy

Posted on 11/06/2016 3:21:14 PM PST by knak

Internet news mogul Matt Drudge reacted on Sunday to news the FBI had cleared Hillary Clinton by forecasting that a stormy news cycle would dominate the final days of the presidential race. “Comey's head-fake just made the hornets nest even crazier!” the Drudge Report founder tweeted. The conservative news aggregator added: “48 hours of madness upcoming!!” It was not clear to what Drudge was referring, but the Clinton campaign warned on Sunday that any bombshell emails published by WikiLeaks in the final two days of the election would “probably” not be authentic. FBI Director James Comey informed Congress on Sunday that a review of new emails found in relation to the bureau’s investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server had not yielded any reason for charges against the Democratic presidential nominee. Drudge has been a fierce Trump supporter throughout the 2016 campaign cycle. Shortly after the FBI announcement, a headline on his website read: "CONFUSED COMEY CLEARS HER AGAIN!"

Comey’s relations with the clintoons goes back decades. Anyone who researches this will realize he is in their bag. Lynch is too.

That is correct. THis speaks nothing about the Foundation investigation, which was always a better case. HE might have been separating the cases anyway, so that a better case could be made for the latter. Anyway, I still think that there should be a Special Orosecutor, because the DOJ has lost all credibility with most folks.

Drain the swamp! Lock all of them up!

Illiarily's worse nightmare began, when the NYPD brought out the sex files of the over sexed husband/pervert of her closest buddy, Huma. Then, they were made public with her emails. More disclosures will be made before and after the election, which, she will lose.

That strongly suggests to me that among 650,000 emails, not one of them was to or from Hillary Clinton. What else can it mean?

My guess is that all of this will eventually be used to throw Anthony and maybe even Huma under the bus.

“It was all planned. Comeys statement in July was full of innuendo, no one believed him. Last week when the polls started leaning Trump, when Hillary needed help, thus the announcement of reopening the investigation.
So Comey gets a do-over, all hands on deck and there still isn’t anything to charge her with.........we now have a rehabilitated Hillary. It was a scam.”

So an investigation that left people disgusted and with polls showing that the majority of people thought she should be indicted...

Was needlessly reopened, in part tanking her poll numbers and causing mass chaos in her campaign, at the time when people are voting, giving lots of air to wikileaks emails, and leaving her to campaign in blue states.

Was stopped with about 24 hours to election day....to “rehabilitate” her?

Do people on this site NOT READ what they post before they post it?

I think I said this a few days ago--

"Fasten your seat belts, everyone. It is going to be a wild ride."

There was a great Dummy comment that I totally agree with--"If there are still any undecided voters still out there after this campaign they should donate their brains to science."

The issue under consideration here and the only issue under consideration is the question of possible conviction of a charge related to the National Security breaches with respect to the emails.

It is likely that under the case law, the courts would hold that Intent is required.

But the case law defines intent. Lieing about the emails constituting the breaches; lieing to federal officers generally; destroying evidence (wiping email servers and erasing emails) under the case law clearly proves the element of intent. And Comey knows enough to know that he is wrong.

A prosecutor might legitimately question whether he could get a conviction in this case--a prominent presidential candidate; long term political figure; but for her bad reputation, a clever defense lawyer might well get her off. I doubt it. I think this is just Comey's judgment that she is going to win and he likely gets rewarded for his action.

More important, none of this addresses the real crimes at issue here.

The Clinton Foundation is at the center of a criminal activity to get money in exchange for favorable government action obtained through the vehicle of Mrs. Clinton's political office.

The Crimes are Racketeering; Conspiracy; Obstruction of Justice; Lying to federal officers; bribery. To the extent payor's took, were advised to take, were led to believe they could take, a charitable deduction, Tax Fraud. Maybe tax fraud against the Foundation and its executives. To the extent the payor's were offshore parties seeking action on certain kinds of benefits for enemies, possibly Treason.

A first year lawyer should be able to get convictions on most of those charges.

Those charges were not at issue here. Department of Justice had specifically instructed the FBI the Foundation and related conduct were not to be investigated. It is those charges about which the FBI staff people were most outraged because they were not part of the case and it is not obvious why not.

It is those charges which are particularly disturbing in the context of the political campaign. The conduct underlying those charges demonstrates that the candidate is seeking the office for purposes of personal enrichment contrary to the national interest.

The Taking of Pelham 123.

There was an original and a remake—both great movies imho.

Clarise Feldman at American Thinker made a similar observation, in so many words, in the comment section to her piece today.

So I think you’re in good company with that line of thinking.

C'mon people...is anyone really surprised that the current USG would clear her imminence just in time to use that clemency as Shrillery's proof that all other findings of criminality are false?

I almost have sympathy for Comey, I'm sure he was an honorable man at some time in the past.

“They really do think we’re all a bunch of morons.”

Well WE are not morons but we ARE outnumbered by morons. And they vote. And the country is screwed.

I have never before wanted so much to be wrong but I believe bitch-bag is going to “win” this thing.

I just sent $100 in reply to a Trump campaign email I received. Hopefully it helps blitz swing states with their awesome two minute commercial they have been running.
Just gotta keep doing what we do.

Comey has
NO CREDIBILITY
NO BALLS
NO FUTURE

I am disgusted in the hole darn bunch of these insiders. They think we are stupid.
My prayer is that because Donald Trump shoved all our noses under the tent, we can no longer ignore the breadth and depth of the criminal activities (in my opinion) of lamestream media, the clintons, the Obama’s and everyone who is in anyway related to these groups. Justice WILL PREVAIL

Worse possible thing that could happen to Clinton. Now everything people think about the Washington Establishment thinking itself above the law has been validated.

And Podesta is warning Hillary's yeller dogs at the FBI to keep their mouths shut, since he's sure the Clintonistas are going to put the leash on them on Wednesday:

Podesta: FBI leakers should 'shut up'
CNN ^
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3490089/posts

This is kind of good, since I'm not interested in hearing any more yipping from the FBI yeller dogs about how they're "honorable" and "put the Law first".

They're Her dogs now, and if she sics them on law-abiding citizens, as is Her usual way, then they'll lick Her feet like the Good Little Yeller Dogs they are, and do what they're told.

“A Special Prosecutor should have been appointed. “

I agree with you 100%. Ryan, McConnell and the GOP Congress should have been demanding a special prosecutor for over a year. If the shoe had been on the other foot the Democrats would have demanded, and gotten, a special prosecutor from a Republican administration and President (remember the Valarie Plame affair?). Unfortunately, or deliberately, the GOP Congress did not demand a special prosecutor. Instead the GOP House conducted multiple “investigations” of emails and Benghazi that went no where.

We will now live with the consequences of “leaders” who did nothing to save the Republic when they had the power to do so. Most of them are corrupt and compromised. What they fail to understand is by their complicity in the corruption they only bought a few minutes of time. If Hillary reaches the White House, she will use the power of the office to obtain revenge and destroy all opposition. I pity what will happen to Donald Trump when Hillary turns all of the alphabet agencies loose on him and his business interests. I will not shed a tear when Paul Ryan, John Boehner, and Mitch McConnell have her wrath turned on them.
