White House won’t rule out Clinton pardon
The Washington Times ^ | November 9, 2016 | Dave Boyer

The White House refused to rule out Wednesday whether President Obama might grant a pardon to Hillary Clinton to spare her from President-elect Donald Trump prosecuting her after he takes office.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Mr. Obama is hopeful that Mr. Trump will follow long-standing tradition of not punishing political opponents through the criminal-justice system. He said all clemency actions go through a formal process...

You don't have to be charged yet (thank you Gerald Ford) but you do have to have committed the crime. A President CANNOT pardon someone for future crimes.

Even IF Obama pardoned her, it wouldn't cover all the crimes she will commit the day after he pardons her.

Personally, there is NO WAY he pardons her. He HATES her and Bill. He campaigned for her himself just hard enough that nobody but her will blame her loss on him, and he is now head of the party while the Clinton's career is over.

UNLESS...She runs for President in four years. That is what today's "concession" speech was all about. Believe me, she is ALREADY running for 2020, she has to assure her terrorist and dictator donors they shouldn't bump them off just yet.

Even if he pardons her he has to give at least a vague indication of what the pardon covers. There will still be plenty for AG Giuliani to work with.

Don’t forget, Commie and Lynch will need pardons too.

How can anybody pardon Hillary ..?? She hasn’t been charged with a crime; nor indicted; merely investigated - which doesn’t require a pardon.

There’s no reason to pardon her (at this point).

So, he cannot pardon her if the FBI does not finish their investigation and bring charges before Obama leaves office, can he?

Pardon..from what? Liberals always told us there was no proof of anything, it was all just “expensive witch hunts costing the taxpayers millions” hence no charges.

Or is this a sort of Freudian admission of guilt?

Nothing done by Obama has been legal. He can pardon anyone he wants. Trump can just bring out the evidence that he is not a US citizen and state that all legislation signed by obutthole and all of his executive orders are null and void.

The watch the left wail. Sow to wind, fools, and reap the whirlwind.

He can pardon her, but even if he did, she wouldn’t like it. Obozo would have to specifically list out the crimes she had already committed (even if she had not yet been charged for them) and again, it would not include any crimes committed AFTER the pardon date.

The more I think about it, she will not want a pardon because it ends her political career, and Obozo may actually pardon her for that very reason.

lol - it needs to be asked, how many pardons? One for mishandling secret information, one for deleting emails after a subpoena, one for racketeering, etc...she’s going to need a bunch!

What exactly does he intend to pardon, just the gross mishandling of classified information as was uncovered in the leaks, or the clearly felonius racketeering involving pay for play, influence peddling, and the slush fund tax avoidance operation of the Clinton Foundation? The first would be no surprise, but if he attempts to preempt any investigation and prosecution of the Foundation Trump better step up and challenge that or I will seriously doubt his pledge to drain the swamp. Trump’s gonna have a short honeymoon with his supporters if he doesn’t follow thru on his campaign pledges to root out corruption. I will go from fan to his worse enemy if he he tries to backslide on all the things he said during his campaign.

>>> Can you pardon someone for a crime they haven’t even
>>> been charged with yet?

Not only that, but if an executive order can be overridden
(as Trump will do), why can’t a Presidential Pardon??

I've posted this in similar thread, but I'll repeat it here:

I want Clinton out of our lives, forever.

I'll even accept a pardon of Hillary if she, Bill, and Chelsea shut down the Foundation and disappear, forever -- with a footnote after their names:

[*] impeached and/or pardoned for multiple crimes.

I never want to hear their names, again. And in bi-partisan spirit, I never want to hear the Bush name again.

No more dynasties. Goodbye and good riddance.

It’s a charge and a template for a specific criminal activity.

To pardon Clinton one would have to blanket immunize her on any and all possible criminal behavior ever perpetrated much of which isn’t even known.

Don’t believe that is practicable.
