This column is illustrative of what the Left and their henchmen in the media have done to divide the country.
They have incited fear and loathing among minorities by promoting lies and misrepresenting Trump and his supporters.
They do this knowingly, in accord with their political agenda and in pursuit of unbridled power for themselves.
Being a liberal rag itself, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram should know better. And be ashamed of themselves. But, being liberals, shame is alien to them.

The media is utterly complicit in aiding and abetting the current spread of civil disorder, and getting set into concrete the narrative that if someone were to have to defend themselves against any of those "protestors", then that proves the point anyone other than them is a deplorable racist, homophobic, misogynist, xenophobic whatever, and must be dealt with to the fullest extent of the law (as
they see it) - or else. We may be entering a dark time in the nation if this continues to fester uncorrected. It hinges a lot on how Trump can navigate around and through it while coming up with solutions to tangibly quash what amounts to an insurrection funded and supported by an axis of foreign & domestic adversaries.
