Staffers at the University of Michigan Law School scheduled a post-presidential election event entitled Post-election Self-care with Food and Play.
The event, featuring Play-Doh, bubbles and Legos, has now apparently been canceled possibly in response to heaps of ridicule.
The Post-election Self-care with Food and Play event was scheduled to take place in Room 138 of Hutchins Hall on Michigans stunningly beautiful Law Quadrangle. University of Michigan webpage Google cache version

We have an emotionally crippled generation starting to graduate into the world. They are in a state of permanent infantilization thanks to helicoptering parents, 24/7 structured “play”, participation trophies and being sheltered from every slight, bump, bruise and disappointment. Like infants, they are completely self-centered, tyrannical and incapable of empathy. But unlike chronological infants they are not physically dependent.
We laugh now and ridicule their their inability to handle reality. But this is our future. They don’t like reality as it exists and believe they can change it by relabeling and redefining things more to their liking. Hence the wars just beginning over bathrooms and pronouns.
But labels and definitions don’t change physics, genetics or human nature. And because those things stand in their way these “snowflakes” will want them gone. This is why the totalitarian impulse is so strong with them.
We use the word “snowflake” because it implies something delicate and ephemeral. These damaged people are not. They are dangerous.
I think Play-Dough is code word for Pizza.
I believe the USSC ruled that UM can't use AA for undergrads, but can discriminate against intelligent, well-balanced, qualified individuals that aren't of specific skin tones, races, genders, etc., in its graduate schools.
This is what you get when you lower standards purely to effect an optical outcome that's not based on competency or ability.
I felt the country was going down the tubes both times Obama was elected, and I am sure I was not the only one, even on college campuses. However, no one gave a fig about making me feel better, nor should they. This is not just ridiculous coddling of immature sensitive babies, it is also highly partisan agitprop designed to render conservative viewpoints illegitimate.
They will always be remembered as the university of play doh and bubbles...
Why is the date on the announcement November 14, but the event also says it’s on Friday the 11th?
(Yes, I want to make sure I haven’t missed it./s)
The University of Michigan should bring back Care Bears from the 1970s to serve as sort of stuffed therapy animals for the grieving.
Plus their undefeated football team was upset by Iowa last night.
I believe the average age in my small (distance) law school is 40 something. There are certainly partisans but no SJW drama queens.
I hope they realize their graduates are now unemployable.
You are right. With zero capacity for independent thought, they are low-hanging fruit for wannabe tyrants like Hillary.
Jeebus—Who would ever hire a graduate of UM Law School after this?
There are already liberal SJWs saying you can’t talk about rape in law school because it is triggering ... though how these social justice warriors will then handle rape and murder cases, I have no idea.
As per usual, those “geniuses” at the U of M can’t even get their dates straight. Is the event on Monday, November 14, or Friday, November 11th?
One of Alinsky’s rules is to use ridicule and apparently it works. We need to use that tool more often considering what happened here. :)
I'd hire this one.
Supermoonbats: they’re everywhere.
I draw upon relational-psychodynamic, existential-phenomenological, and indigenous mental health traditions.
I have absolutely no idea what this sentence says. Can anyone translate?
I know I don’t know what it says.
I think I will drop off some jars of Playdoh in the attorney’s lounge. Just for the U of M grads. LOL
And ask what school your attorney attended. Well, you now know what goes on at U of M. Nothing important. LOL
