Franklin Graham: Donald Trump Gave His Heart to Christ At Billy Graham’s 95th Birthday Party

In a radio interview on Saturday, evangelist Franklin Graham said that Christians shouldn’t necessarily be concerned by Donald Trump’s history, because the GOP presidential candidate was one of “many people” who “gave their hearts to Christ” at his father Billy Graham’s 95th birthday party in 2013.

Graham was the guest on Saturday’s episode of “The Christian Worldview,” a program hosted by David Wheaton. Wheaton asked Graham, “What do you say to the Christian who has hesitancy for Donald Trump?”

“Well, first of all, three years ago this coming Monday my father celebrated his 95th birthday,” Graham replied. “Donald Trump was a guest, he came. And we presented a film that night, ‘The Cross,’ and my father gave an invitation and many people that night gave their hearts to Christ, and Donald Trump indicated that night that he had—he did that.”

“Only God knows where his heart is,” Graham continued. “But a lot of things that have been accused of Donald Trump are things that happened years ago. I don’t think people are taking into account that maybe God has worked on his heart and is changing his heart. So I think you have to consider, what does Donald Trump say today? Not what he said 11 years ago, but what does he say today? And that’s what we’ve got to judge you on.”

I seem to remember in one of the primary debates, Trump was asked about abortion and his flip flop of previous views he stated. I think he referred to an event that changed his mind, but didn’t catch all of it.

At the time, I thought maybe he or one of his children lost a baby. Maybe this was the event.

“Christians are all about forgiveness”

Exactly. This is what I told everyone whenever they tried to put Christians down for supporting Trump even though he made mistakes and Melania posed nude, etc....

Franklin Graham has been a huge asset this election. He has defended President Trump during popegate among other things. I believe his campaign across the country to get out the vote had a direct impact on the election results.

If he begins to confess Christ as Savior and witness in public the left will go off-the-rails ballistic!

I’m all for Trump to be my President, not for Trump to be Pastor of my Church. If Trump truly gave his heart to Christ, I want to hear him take a hard line stance against Sodimite marriages. It may be man’s law but it’s not God’s righteousness.

Jane Fonda allegedly became a Christian about 15 yrs ago. She’s unchanged.

Personally, I was fairly squishy on abortion - didn't like it, particularly, but generally saw it as a necessary evil.

Then, years ago, when the nurse put WBill Jr. in my arms, I changed my mind entirely in that instant. I'm Pro Life now. Period.

My point? Changes happen. Sometimes by degrees, and sometimes by 180 degrees.
