“We’re not going to do what we never planned to do.”?

But they’re still planning a small car factory in Mexico?
Screw Ford. I’ll keep driving my 20 year old Mercury.

It’s real

And the KY plant making the small Lincoln SUV was slated to move to Mexico after 2018 when the contract was up in KY.

Wow! Way to go Mr Trump! Far too many jobs have been destroyed or exported under Obama ‘s “tear-down-America” regime. Thousands and thousands of auto assembly jobs have been exported already to Mexico God bless the Mexicans but we can’t afford to
Lose any more jobs just now. Good going Mr Trump !!

The Lincoln MKZ is a Ford Fusion variant. AFAIK, they've always been built on the same assembly line. I thought the plant in question was making the smaller Focus model line, but perhaps it was both.

Regardless, the plant was never "going away", Ford planned to shift it over to higher-profit Ranger pickups and the new Bronco SUV. Sounds like a win for both Trump and Ford.

The small Lincoln MKC SUV is a rebadged Ford Escape built on the same line. Lincoln production moving but not Ford Escape?

Thanks for the info.

The liberal twerps on Twitter are all saying the KY was never going to move, but, in fact, they would be after the UAW contract expired in 2018.

Now Ford is staying.

Lotsa libs going to have egg all over their faces when the truth catches up to their lies.
