KALUGA, November 18. /TASS/. The first Russian rally in support of US President-Elect Donald Trump will take place on November 19 in the city of Obninsk, Kaluga region, the city administration told TASS on Friday.

According to the rally organizers, the event aims "to express hope for improving Russia-US relations."

"The rally will be held on November 19 on the Privokzalnaya Square in Obninsk. The organizers received the appropriate permits in advance. It is planned that around 40 people would participate in the two-hour rally," a source in the city administration said.

Billionaire Donald Trump was elected the 45th President of the United Stated on November 8. On Thursday, the Obama administration began to turn over responsibilities to Trump’s team.

Foreigners are more appreciative of Trump than our demented moonbats.

I feel embarrassed for our country to apologize for such louts.

For all the brinksmanship, I have to assume that the Russian people are breathing a sigh of relief as well. They’re not keen on being nuked, either.

Maybe sell them a couple of European countries. Flynn could arrange that.

Russia should always be treated as an adversary but when we find common ground we should exploit that.

Russia should always be treated as an adversary but when we find common ground we should exploit that.

Why?

Our close ally the UK held a vote in parliament to try and get Trump banned from entering. The Muslim mayor of London spewed all kinds of vitriol against Trump. France and Germany have opened their doors to third-world and Muslim immigrants who intend, through birthrate and Islam, turn Europe into a multicultural Muslim land. At the same time, Europe is increasing hostile to Christian culture and civilization. They are uniformly critical of the US for electing Trump, as being opposed to everything they stand for. Meanwhile, what we see happening in Russia is the reverse. As someone who believes Western civilization is Christian civilization, I think Russia is our natural ally. I'm confirmed in this when I see present-day Russophobes. It used to be strong Christians who were against Russia and talked about converting Russia (fervent Catholics w/ Fatima prayers, Bishop Fulton Sheen, etc.) while the leftist atheists were Russia's defenders. Today we see the reverse. When in doubt, always side with those guided by the cross of Christ.

There is a major realignment going on nationally and internationally. The day Trump was declared the winner forever changed the US. And while 9/11 was destructive and lead to endless war, 11/9 will be to constructive and lead to peace and prosperity. I can live with that. We can all live with that.

I think the world’s interests and Putin’s interest are not identical. But hey, that’s just me. I’m a conservative who believes in the rule of law, limited government, and transparency. President for Life Putin is not my idea of an ideological bedfellow.

globalists versus non-globalists.

Russia never wanted to be part of that Merkel-Obama-Hillary game.

Don’t forget hockey. Russia’s best players play in the NHL. The USSR didn’t let that happen until just before the collapse. And there are Americans playing in Russia’s KHL.

Putin put forward an international warrant for George Soros.

The January extradition of Soros to Russia in the middle of the night sans lawyers will do more for relations than any other action

Putin has made Trump and offer he can’t refuse. When Georgie confesses in Moscow, there’s no telling what he will tell about the Clinton’s

If I were Soros, I’d be sweating.

President for Life Putin is not my idea of an ideological bedfellow.

He was elected by the people of Russia. The term for President in Russia was 4 years, but was extended to 6 years in 2008. A Russian President is limited to two consecutive terms but no limits as to the number of terms the President may serve in total. So he will cease to be President in March 2018, unless they reelect him for a 2nd consecutive term. Then he would be required to step down in 2024 after 2 consecutive terms.

As far as I know he has broken no laws there, and transparency isn't even something we have achieved in this country, as evidenced by the man who promise to be most transparent President ever elected.

I too am conservative, but I ascribe to the old adage, keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

I would prefer that we have as good a relationship as possible with Russia that hopefully provide us with opportunities to have positive impacts in the world. Certainly being antagonistic and putting both countries, along with other countries in the world, in defensive postures is not conducive to a world that is better off, do you agree?

As Reagan said doveryai, no proveryai.
