Romney may be a wimp as a political candidate and a backstabbing weasel as a politician, but he is an efficient entrepreneur, manager and bureaucrat and could set a lot of things right in the US State Department. He would not embarrass America and would be pretty straight guy with enough money not to be bought- if he and Trump are on the same foreign policy wavelength

I cannot see rewarding someone so far up in the hierarchy of the GOP elitistsphere, as well someone who did all he could to sabotage the Trump campaign from start to finish by appointing him as Secretary of State when much more loyal, and trustworthy candidates are available. This reeks of Priebus.

Romney is a deal guy and a turnaround guy who has governed a blue state, skills that could be useful in any number of jobs. Outside of state, restructuring and implementing Trumps vision for a first class VA, for example. Let’s wait and see.
To be honest, my personal feelings aren’t relevant. I trust Trump and his team who know a hell of a lot more about it than I do.

I think the Romney visit is a head-fake. Trump's people think that he needs this to show people how unifying he can be. Once Romney leaves on Sunday I doubt we'll hear of him again.
