Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange has overtaken President-elect Donald Trump for the lead in the online poll of who readers think should be TIME’s Person of the Year in 2016, as of 1:00 p.m. Eastern on Monday.

On Monday morning, Assange and Trump were deadlocked with 9% of all the “yes” votes cast by participants, but Assange pulled ahead to 10% shortly after noon.

Assange being close is mere Democrat rigging to delegitimize Trump.

That the man who pulled off the biggest upset in U.S. history isn’t the 1st and last name on the list just reinforces what you already knew about Time Magazine and the MSM in general.

Trump is near the end of the list, and one has to click through almost all the other many names to get to him. Maybe this is designed to get as many “hits” as possible?

I’d vote for Assange. He took a lot of risks and deserves it more than anyone else.

I think Assange is deserving this go-around. DJT will have it hands down next year when MAGA is in full swing. We owe a huge debt to Julian for ripping the rock off the top of the MSM-RAT cesspit.

If you try to take the poll, the first of eleven choices is between Megyn MegEgo Kelly and Colin perpetual adolescent Kaepernick. I don’t understand how it works, it won’t let you go past that screen without selecting one of them and I despise them both and refuse to make a choice of either - they’re hardly even worth mentioning, really. The only reason they’re “popular” is because of their controversial and outrageous stances with their anti-Americanism. Hardly influential people, rather they’ve made names for themselves being disgusting.

IMO Assange is the REASON Trump got elected. The information he and the coup agents provided was very damaging to Hillary.
I stand behind that as long as the email’s integrity is validated and they really came from Podesta and the other actors though I have no reason to believe otherwise. The one thing I noticed was that there weren’t really that many emails from Hillary to other persons unless I overlooked that.
I hope Trump investigates the pedophile ring / Lolita Express to determine and confirm if the Clintons were really exploiting minors. If so, hang’em...

I think Trump, appointing Assange to Time Man of the Year is the best appointment Trump has made so far. I think Trump should appoint Time's Man of the Year, for the next 8 years.

When one looks at the people whom Time has made person of the year in the past, this is no great compliment. Like another person said, last time I read Time magazine (when not under duress in a dentist’s office) was probably in 1996.

TIME’s person of the year award has been completely irrelevant for about 50 years or so.

Trump got himself elected, but Assange, James O’Keefe, and some others boosted him across the finish line.
