The International Criminal Courts prosecutor says it is a regression for African nations including her own country of Gambia to quit the court and says the continent should work with her office to end impunity for atrocities.
Speaking to The Associated Press on Tuesday at the courts headquarters overlooking the North Sea on the edge of The Hague, Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda said regional and local courts in Africa should work with her office to bring perpetrators of atrocities to justice.

Homosexual lobby won the ability to have the UN treat homosexuals and transgenders as a protected class.
African nations may tolerate polygamy, prostitution and sex trafficking, but they will not tolerate homosexuals and transgenders as having special rights over heterosexuals - so they are leaving the ICC to avoid being forced by the UN with threat of losing aid as punishment for failing to meet far left sexual political demands.
There is already precedence for that fear coming to life, since Obama tied a lot of international aid to accepting abortion, legalizing homosexuality and other issues for African nations.
