At some point, those “digital communications” take to the RF spectrum unless you’re talking about full end point-to-endpoint cable or fiber optic communications. But you cannot guarantee the “digital communications” don’t hit the RF spectrum at some point. But you cannot.

Even on some of the last-mile links, they are in the Ka Band microwaves which still can conflict with other links unless they are planned and de-conflicted.

Soon, the entire world will be fiber end-to-end. Any RF usage will be minimal. We’re almost there now.

The history of communications show that sooner or later, whatever regulatory agency is involved will try and regulate speech/content. Such is the nature of man and government

Pope Leo X tried to stop publication of Martin Luther’s 95 Theses.

“Copyright” was originally an attempt to regulate who could own and operate a printing press.

What do you think this latest push regarding “fake news” is?

Free Speech has ALWAYS had to fight to remain free.
