Years ago when my family lived in Southern California, my mother would fly to New York from time to time to visit my grandmother on Long Island and help take care of her.

On one flight, Florence Henderson was on board, and so was the late comedian Flip Wilson, who actually got on the intercom and did a whole routine as “head stewardess Geraldine.”

I wish I was there.
