No need to thank me, just have a drink or three for me.

Forgive our enemies’ sins, o Gracious Lord.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.

Something happened today that marked a change for my thinking. I had sort of half-hearted rooted for Putin due to his standing up against homosexuality and his fight against terrorists. However, his response to Castro’s demise was way too positive-almost laudatory. He called Castro a “great friend of Russia.” Putin said Castro was “a major and important figure of the 20th century.” Really?? This murderous, dictatorial, oppressive animal is one of your “great friends?” No mention of his crimes? Whitewashing his history?

My feelings toward Putin have definitely shifted.

I listened to nearly an hour of the BBC hagiography last night. It was sickening.

Yeah. As the Catholic prayer goes “lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy.” If I want that for me (and I do) then I gotta want it for everybody else, including Fidel Castro.

Castro knew he was in the catbird seat, that the Russians would support him no matter what due to his place in the Main Adversary’s front yard, and he often acted like it, stirring up unwelcome trouble in places where Moscow was trying to accomplish things behind the scenes...and frequently pulling them into the thick of it.

The Kremlin publicly backed him, but privately considered him a major pain in the ass.

Fidel is probably sucking sulfur fumes and neck deep in brimstone with "Uncle Walter."

Just for sh!ts and giggles, what does Castro’s fanboi Sean Penn has to say about his butt buddy’s passing? Actually he’s been MIA for some time. Maybe, unlike his colleagues he really DID leave the US?

Hasn’t appeared there yet. He’s in Hades, awaiting the judgement day. Sadly, he sees the need for repentance now (like the rich man who disregarded Lazarus), but it’s too late.
