That’s what Dana said. He would be the best choice of those I’ve heard about. Probably more in line with Trump on foreign affairs than either Mitt or Rudy.

It would be nice to find a career State employee that is a conservative and doesn’t have baggage. Somebody that is respected at State. They need a big paradigm shift. Not sure if that is possible.

The best of making Petraeus Secretary of State would be when Trump says “after all, we’ve been told that mishandling classified information is not a disqualifier.”

Mitt's a good choice.

Um...no.

Mitt is a self serving RINO that as SEC-STATE will throw Trump under the foreign bus the first chance he gets. And the rest of us with him.

Mitt MIGHT be good at doing what he did with the Olympics which was to turn it around and make it efficient and even worthy, and he might be able to do that with the V.A.

John Bolton is perfect for Foggy Bottom. He already knows all the players and the regions from his time at the UN and he won't put up with any BS, especially from Globalists eager to unilaterally disarm us.

I like Rudy but he has had the rep as a gun grabber in the past and I'm not too certain he's over that compulsion. And having said that, while I do agree that Rudy should be rewarded, I'm not sure where he should go.

Sheriff Clarke would be PERFECT at DHS.

No Romney.

He could be Sec of VA or Head of OMB. Not State.

For State - how about Huckaby? Loyal, happy face but I think he can be tough behind closed doors.

You might not be aware of it but Paula Broadwell is a former miltary officer and as such had clearance to receive classified material. If anyone was mishandling classified material it was Hillary Rotten Clinton and not General David Petraeus.

Still say Bolton...he knows the ins and outs and knows everyone. Well educated internationally which is where Romney and Guiliani are lacking.

He needs Guiliani here at home. Maybe Homeland Security.

The problem with Petraeus is that we're screaming about Hillary and her emails...and he was already convicted. Can't play games....let him be an outside advisor.

Throw us Italians a bone!!!!

Rudy was his right hand man throughout the election and is a stand up guy.

I see people throwing every other name out like he wouldn’t be a GREAT SOS!!

He THREW arafat out of a theater, he SHUT DOWN sharpton for eight years, something both the senate and house couldn’t do.

He also shut out jackson.

He told black kids who asked how to pay for college to get jobs.

He’s a FIERCE defender of Israel...

Petraeus?!?!

What if he gets a girlfriend?

Getting kind of annoyed at the knee jerk NO to Rudy being SOS

It looks like the poll over at Breitbart is still open even though they declared Giuliani the winner. I just voted.

If I remember right during the Iraq war the army was successfully driving on Bagdad when Petreaus relieved the commander of the assault forces and took over so he could get combat experience stamped on his ticket

It is exactly President elect Trump’s call and we all should respect his decision.

Rudi Guiliani was loyal to Trump and deserves a high ranking position. But I see him in a domestic role, not as Secretary of State.

She may have had the proper security clearance at some time, but did she have the “need to know”? Having a sufficient clearance for the classified info is not enough.

They need a big paradigm shift. Not sure if that is possible.

It would be if they selectively fired most of them.

After eight years of Clinton and that doofus Kerry being SOS, you will need a strong management type person rather than a strong diplomat.

The foreign staffs in the embassies are embedded progressives which will Need a strong arm to wrangle them in...

They actually do all the heavy lifting in negotiations...

Mitt would fit that bill, but I don’t trust him to implement Trumps policies...

I think Trump will surprise us with his pick...

Plus Romney as SoS will be the darling of the MSM, and that will put him in a position to challenge Trump in 2020.

Romney - absolutely not. Never.
