Who knows when Fidel Castro actually kicked the bucket? But this weekend his brother decided to let us in on the secret. His presidential term lasted, gosh, an awfully long time, as The New York Times reminded us:
Fidel Castro had held on to power longer than any other living national leader except Queen Elizabeth II.
That's one way of putting it. But in the end, when it comes to ruthlessly holding on to power, no one can compete with Her Majesty, and so that piker Castro got relegated to second place, while millions of English, Canadians, Jamaicans, Bahamians, Barbadians, Grenadians, etc, still groan under the jackboot of the Queen.

Castro died November 9th, 2016 (3AM) and they kept him on ice to make it look -not so bad.
If Fidel had accommodated a press corp, his death may have been prevented by their protection. In the least, history could have been recorded accurately concerning the passing of such an important world leader. /fake
Winning.
“Jackboot of the Queen”? If Haiti was part of the British empire, they would be much better off. The Queen is not Castro.
A bit of humor...
Satirical comment.
Castro bump.
“The Queen is not Castro.”
I think the ploy was, that by comparing his years in power with the Queen, they could imply moral relativity, skew the evil bastard’s reputation by placing him alongside the Queen in the same sentence, and make them similar. Typical liberal puke-think, to dress up evil in the morals of others and so absolve them of being monsters. That’s my take on it. Steyn is baring the absurdities of liberal logic. As if the Queen were a devil like Castro. It’s ridiculous.
The perfect definition of Castro. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Fidel Castro is exhibit #1 for term limits.
Castro was a true believer in Communism long after every one else dumped it.
And hopefully, it will expire once his brother joins him down in hell.
About Castro’s death: when did he really kick the bucket?
In a totalitarian state, everything is a lie. Who knows when he really died.
And Raool wanted that late in the month arriving social security check, too.
Oh well, half of it was quotes from people who lack Mr. Steyn's vocabulary.
But Castro is still dead.
And that is enough.
