“I predict Romney as SOS.”

Making Romney Secretary of State would be a terrible decision.

Romney is not trustworthy. Mr. Etch-a-sketch would create one international problem after another. Romney has no foreign policy experience.

Romney would also leak to the media.

In addition, the State Department is infiltrated with leftist conspirators who would undermine America. The State Department supported the failed foreign policy in Europe and the middle east.

They supported weakness and appeasement towards China, North Korea and Japan.

The State Department insiders would soon control someone like Romney.

Trump needs someone smart and tough. He needs someone who can deal with the bureaucracy and America's enemies.

I don’t think Trump is the sort of person that reaches across the isle to a genuine RINO and proven Trump hater such as Romney. It appears the people Trump allows into his camp are the best. I just do not see it happening.

This Myth Romney & Betrayus act is probably a distraction to keep the left busy making fake news while the real business is conducted behind the scenes.

He has been quoted as saying he wants to be unpredictable, and I think this is an example.

“One of the problems Trump must be facing right now is that the reach of the political elite is so vast that finding good people who are not only up to the task, but available to leave their present positions for four years is probably very difficult.”

There are many good, patriotic and intelligent candidates who would be pleased to serve in the Trump administration.

The problem biggest problem will be dealing with the corrupt and entrenched bureaucracy.

They will undermine and sabotage President Trump.

Romney would be good with negotiating trade and other deals. I assume he would not complete any without Trump’s approval.

Yup. Petreus is dirty, and Romney is another back-stabbing bastard like Ryan, McCain, Kasich, Cruz, Graham...

If he selects Petraeus he can use that as cover for not prosecuting Hillary.

So Pence is the only name I have seen associated with supporting Romney: anyone else?

Pence may be enough.

Put Romney in the VA. Let him go all Bain Capital, corporate raider, Olympic turnaround artist on a system that is broken and needs vicious house cleaning and restructuring. He is the perfect man for that job and he can go out a hero and statesman. SOS - nope.

I sincerely doubt it.
Ability to institute cut throat practices with companies on their last legs with no bargaining strength, I have no doubt.
Willing to use his pencil to put swathes out of work √.
Able to stand toe to to with equals, not proven.
Able to think outside the box to find solutions that bridge Nations with disparate goals, no way.

Have you seen what he did to the medical system in MA. Healthcare is not the arena for Bain capital types.

My son works for a healthcare conglomerate and upper management just decided the best way to improve the bottom line was to insist that the pharmacy have no more stock on hand than the amount anticipated to be consumed in 5 days. I said, “That’s insane, there are strikes, manufacturing shutdowns due to equipment failures or component shortages, trucking hold ups, and a host of other potential problems. You need a cushion of several weeks. The patients are often critically ill and there will be deaths if their meds are not available.”

He said, “But they can save $ on the float.” I said, “Yes and they will lose it on the law suits.”

The person who turns around the VA doesn’t need to be a Bain-like figure but rather someone who understands how bureaucracy works and who is dedicated to putting the patient’s first and streamlining the process, a person with some vision and real grit.

I would favor a revamping and change of emphasis, rerouting the routine care to private hospitals where good facilities exist, maintaining that care in under-served parts of the country where the VA hospital is an efficient part of the community and expanding the specialized trauma related care.

I agree. The bulk of VA care should be given by private providers who the Veterans choose. Even Mayo or John Hopkins are not as expensive as the VA with their bureaucracy. The VA needs to be very small ageny within the DOD that manages payments to private providers for vets.
