Washington (CNN)Retired U.S. Army Gen. David Petraeus, who has long resisted calls to run for political office, is teaming up with retired NASA astronaut Mark Kelly to create a new group urging greater gun control. The two announced on Friday that they were launching Veterans Coalition for Common Sense to encourage elected leaders to "do more to prevent gun tragedies." The group will feature veterans from every branch of the military who are urging lawmakers to toughen gun laws, the organization said in a news release.
Mark Kelly is a mutant, and Petraeus has just been proven to be a malleable idiot.

He continues to betray us. Yesterday, a muslim used a car and a knife to injure innocent people. No amount of gun laws will stop anyone who’s out to kill.

Romney did sign a ban on “assault weapons” while he was governor.

Nope. Another one is gone. Government is starting to allow military to carry on base. Why would we want Petraeus in the administration to mess up newly acquired freedoms?

The SOS doesn’t make any laws so I don’t see what difference this makes.

More than a few here have said the same. Of the two, I’ve never wanted Petraeus. There must be someone in this great nation who is honest, trustworthy and loves his country enough to do the job outside those two. Palin comes to mind.
Amazing that I keep hearing about this arrogant clown being considered for Secretary of State! This convict is STILL ON PROBATION, having been convicted in a Federal Court!
He was sentenced 23 April 2015; awarded a $100,000.00 fine and two years probation.
Now someone tell me how this would fly through Senate Confirmation???
