People say all kinds of nasty things in campaigns ,... including Trump ... and then once the campaign is over it is like those words never happened. Strange to me but thats how it works. I sense with Trump it is not personal .. it is just business.
I do NOT think Trump is wasting time playing little games with Romney. That’s a game for petty little boys. Trump is the President-elect. Romney is being considered for the SoS job and Trump is checking out his skill sets. I would be surprised if he picked him but I don’t know the key skill sets Trump is looking for. Romney is smart, smooth and diplomatic and knows how to shake up companies so I am not surprised he is being considered. We will see soon enough.

You’re right. Trump said some very radical stuff during the campaign. The idea of letting that stuff pass and working together reminds me of some NASCAR drivers beating and banging into one another; where the bottom line is, “That’s racin’ boys! Let’s forget it and go do our jobs!”

I must say you have written the most mature and on target comment I have read out of hundreds today on multiple threads. Thank you.

Romney, of course, was NOT an opponent in the primaries running against Trump, when he gave
this hideous, disgusting, lie-filled, character-assassinating speech against Trump AND his supporters, where he basically said the Trump was not psychologically fit to be president, and that his supporters (by direct implication) were stupid and wrong.
Can you cite another instance in modern presidential elections where a
non-candidate, former politician made such a nasty and unfounded speech against the front runner in his own party for nomination for President of the United States, like Romney did against Trump?
