Even if WI’s electoral votes aren’t counted, the results stay the same. The number needed to win will simply be 270 less what WI’s would have been.
Exactly. That reduces the total electors from 539 to 529. A "true majority" would then become 265. Trump had 307, reduce that by WI's 10, he has 297. 297 is greater than the new true majority of 265, so he still wins.
The person having the greatest Number of votes for President, shall be the President, *****if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed;***** and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President.
