Gen. Weasley Clark’s Son To Lead Veterans’ Group To Protest Dakota Access Pipeline

Gen. Weasley Clark’s Son To Lead Veterans’ Group To Protest Dakota Access Pipeline

The son of retired U.S. Army General Wesley Clark heads a veterans’ group committed to preventing law enforcement from evacuating Dakota Access Pipeline protesters. The group plans to arrive at the encampment Sunday.

The group will supplement the few veterans who already arrived at one of the encampments earlier in the week and and demanded that law enforcement lay down their firearms.

Wesley “Wes” Clark Jr. and former U.S. Marine Michael Wood Jr. lead Veterans Stand for Standing Rock. Clark’s father was also a 2004 Democratic presidential primary candidate.

The younger Clark graduated from Georgetown University and served four years in the Army before moving to Hollywood to pursue a writing career. (He does not appear to have any screenwriting credits in his 20-year career.)

Clark, whose Facebook page lists his interests as “history, music, gaming, futurology, foreign affairs, sex and saving the planet,” is a climate activist who protests against oil companies .Law enforcement claims he “supports activists who commit crimes to stop oil pipelines, which he believes is supported by his Christian beliefs.”

He claims the Standing Rock protests are more about issues related to clean water and the U.S. Government acknowledging a promise to pay the tribe revenue created by a river dam. Clark has claimed he would “instantly” turn over to police any protesters committing violence, but then claimed it’s the police who are instigating violence.

However, the North Dakota Veterans Coordinating Council sent a letter to the “Veterans Stand for Standing Rock” group asking them not to go to the southern part of the state where the protest camps are located, the Associated Press reported, because tension would likely increase and place a burden on law enforcement, Council president Russ Stabler said.

Stabler, who said that the Council has no opinion on the pipeline, also said the veterans coming to Standing Rock have been misinformed and should not be advancing a movement that has “broken laws, destroyed property and attacked law enforcement.”story continues

I remember a photo years back of perfumed general Weasely as a guest on some TV show.
He was wearing Levi 501s, crossed his legs like a lady, wore no socks and was sporting an ankle bracelet.
My gheydar went off like a sub klaxon.

When you fail as a writer in Hollywood it’s axiomatic you become a climate change activist, I guess. The smart ones become real estate agents.

A couple other threads on FR about the pipeline but not related to Clark's son.

Proposed route of the pipeline in regards to the Sioux Reservation and the unceded
territory of the Sioux Nation. Orginally the pipeline was to go north of Bismark and the
Sioux. It was rerouted south of Bismark and across the unceded territory of the Sioux.

“These are the ten percenters also known as “shitbirds.””

Right now, as I type this, sitting in my shop in southern New Mexico, I can hear the damn drumming starting up at my neighbor’s place across the street. He’s a “shitbird” Nam vet marine who voted for Clinton this past election. He’s a Caucasian guy with absolutely ZERO Native American blood, but has somehow managed to get quite a following of ignorant fools who think he’s some kind of Lakota indian chief or medicine man. EVERY single Saturday, and very frequently on Wednesday’s and Sunday’s, a crowd of hippie type wanna-be indians, almost all of which are white as rice, get together to bang on their tom-toms, call in the “spirits of the elders”, and sit in a sweat lodge to hear the latest ‘pearls of wisdom’ from Mr Shitbird.

For the past few months, much of their activities have been centered around the ‘controversy’ of the evil “black snake” up there near next to the Standing Rock reservation. About a dozen or so of his disciples have taken it upon themselves to stand across from the Wells Fargo bank in town, banging on their tom-toms and holding protest signs against the pipeline, most of which say something about how the pipeline is going to kill everybody by poisoning the water and Mama Erf.

Since Mr Shitbird moved here a number of years ago (his home and land financed through the VA with a down payment from his brainwashed followers) I’ve had to put up with all the additional traffic, barking dogs, the banging on drums well into the night, and stinky cottonwood smoke from their bonfires, as well as wondering when they’ll set the whole area on fire during times of drought here, when the southwest is a tinderbox. I just can’t understand how people can be sooooo very stupid to get into following complete white guy pretending to be an indian! They want to be indians so bad, that they’re willing to go along with his encouragement telling them that they can play indian too! So of course since they hear all the propaganda about the evil “black snake”, they want to take that up as their cause too. And yes, they all arrive in vehicles that run on petroleum.

Though the drumming, barking dogs, added traffic, and smoky air that Mr Shitbird has created as a great con job for himself won’t go away once the pipeline is completed, I’ll be very thankful for the reduction in numbers that attend his ‘ceremonies’ once the pipeline has crude flowing through it! Oh, in case there’s any doubt, he’s one Marine vet that I have NO respect for.

ROTFLMAO! It's always seemed to me that out of all the military branches, the Air Force, seems to have more Leftists and fruitcakes.than the others.. It is interesting that generally they also have the shortest bootcamp, most percentage of women AND rooms rather than barracks that come with maid service

They need to call The Oregon Bureau of Land Management, maybe they could set up a roadblock and shoot at the Indians or do they only shoot Cowboys in the back?

Yep. I hate the blind devotion to anyone in uniform.

In my opinion, the Left hates this 'devotion' as well AND by doing this it furthers its ;progress' on bringing down one more American institution.

It is sad that the Left has done so much damage to our military

There’s no reason to give it to all. People are just people. All fallible. The only ones who deserve it are the heroes. Just because you’re a cop that takes bribes on the side doesn’t mean you’re worthy of support.
