Mitch, it’s going to be Trump care, not republican care.

Delay is the wrong answer. The repeal should absolutely come before any replacement. Trying to negotiate both at the same time gives the liberals too much leverage and will lead to a flawed replacement. The phase in should be that those already on Obamacare get to keep their subsidies for 2017. After that, Obamacare should be dead.

Replacement? Negotiate that after the repeal is signed and we have more leverage. Let kids stay on parental policies to age 26. Let insurance companies sell medical insurance across state lines. Otherwise, it’s time to clean up the mess and reduce the federal government’s role in medical insurance.

Force the issue and put the spot light on McConnell over and over again.

There’s a difference between the law and the implementation of it.

Waivers were granted and the law not entirely enforced to allow time for adjustment.

Can be handled the EXACT same way on repeal.

Commie care included a federal level set of requirements for plans that EXCEEDED the requirements of state plans.

So repeal of commie care would not in any way make existing plans illegal. Carriers can continue to operate them if they really want to.

Haven’t the Republicans said they have an alternative waiting for the last several years?

The Dems snapped their fingers and voilà, Obamacare.

And there was a phase in period......it became the edict but took time to spin up.

Thankfully Trump doesn’t work at a turtle’s pace. The Turtle might try and slow things down once. After Trump jerks a knot in Turtle’s backside I doubt he will continue “taking time” to do the right thing.

The Republican problem is multiple bills. The task is to remove the drafts from the filing cabinets and integrate into something that is both workable and passable.

The most pressing and difficult issue is determining how long will it take for the insurers to adjust to the new reality. If say the new law can be crafted by May, will the insurers be able to roll out policies by November 17 to go into effect in 18?

Understood is that contracts for ‘17 remain in effect till 18 at least

This is crap. You passed how many “repeals” knowing Obama would not sign them... So I expect this repealed day one. I am tired of this garbage. Anyone who’s on it should have already renewed for 17. Repeal it letting it exist for those on it through 17 and transfer the subsidized to Medicare in 18 if you haven’t got a new law in place there is no excuse to delay its repeal.

McConnell should know there have been a dozen workable alternatives proposed by his fellow Republicans. I have to ask, where has this fool been for the last four years ?

McConnell is lying. There are already several bills written that could replace ObamaCare in a flash. Just bring them up on January 23rd and pass them. Or, if they are revenue bills, bring them up in the House and pass them first, then over to the Senate.
