The End of the University?
American Thinker ^ | December 12, 2016 | David Solway

Anyone with a clear mind who has taught or studied at a university or whose children are currently enrolled in its troubled precincts knows that the academy has fallen on evil days. Preoccupied with “diversity,” “inclusiveness,” affirmative action, and equality of outcome regardless of input, universities have coddled students into a state of planular emotionalism -- “you are loved” and “all your emotions are real,” goes the mantra at Virginia Tech -- and rendered them incapable of grappling with anything that resembles an unfamiliar idea or an unanticipated event. Considering in addition the number of useless and cost-ineffective courses in the Humanities and Social Sciences (e.g., Gender Studies, Peace Studies, Fat Studies, Black Studies, Aboriginal Studies, Queer Studies, etc.), as well as the dilution of even the more respectable subjects in order to make them accessible to the unqualified, the future of the university looks increasingly bleak -- a “strange Twilight Zone,” as Daniel Greenfield writes, where “none of the sane rules apply.”

Let’s face it...the commies have completely taken over US Universities. All of their schemes within schemes will be their end. They will design the noose that hangs them!

Perhaps engineering, math, science (real sciences that is), nursing, and other “trade” schools need to separate from the majors that claim to offer a “Liberal Arts” education.

University these days is an extension of high school and nothing else. Based on socialization and ‘finding oneself’ and blowing tens of thousands while doing it.

Maybe, but there are plenty of hard science folks, both in & out of school, who are liberal kooks.

Is the purpose of the university research or education?

Does it exist to train people for jobs?

Is it a monastery where great truths are discussed?

Or is it a place for Democrats to get jobs?

Nobody knows.

The first question to be answered is,

“Is is good to be smart?”

Those “diplomas” are not worth the paper they’re printed on anymore. I know myself as a hiring manager, will definitely disregard recent and upcoming graduates as not qualified to function in real life or at a real job.

They have now become centers of anti-knowledge! Betraying the origin of the word University (to achieve unity through the diversity of ideas and the free exchange thereof). Now they are essentially little North Koreas where any variance from the rigid mindset of the “collective” is oppressed and punished!

The irrational Marxists/Freemasons took over the universities by the 70s to force satanism = irrationality and stupidity (socialism/gender insanity) on the masses to destroy Western Civ. For complete slavery, they need a stupid, immoral culture.

They have to ERASE Christianity and all the philosophy/theology which created the Age of Reason and Modern Science (Virtue Formation in children/young adults) and the Constitution of the USA, so the useful idiots will believe the State when they tell them Bruce is a woman.

Ignorance creates slaves only for the NWO. Vice is Ignorance (Socrates).

The hyper-sexualization of young children destroys virtue and Intellectual formation and fixates children in the puerile, narcissistic age (like obama). We are creating risk-adverse, feminized little boys and destroying the natural instincts in girls to make them hate males and kill their own genetic offspring. John Dewey, the communist Humanist, destroyed all the Classical curricula so children could be indoctrinated and embedded with dependency (be “socialized” so they can NEVER “think” critically—outside the State box).

Individualism only comes from inside the Natural family and real life human interaction that is unstructured, so that the child can literally learn to “think” for themselves——and not in the “group-(non)-think” programmed system in schooling—or in front of screens, which embeds fear of man and irrationality-—NEVER fear of God and Truth (Reality). The system demeans Christianity and all Christian Ethics——to collapse civil society for the NWO where everyone is a slave and happy to be controlled, herded and killed when a useless eater..

I am sure you are mistaken to associate Masons with Marxists. As a 3d degree Mason, Scottish Rite and Shriner there are no common ground with the Godless folks.

It used to be the first three in your list it became the 4th item. The first three are only a sideline now.

All of the above, and only the last is an illegitimate function. Part of the problem is that universities have become much too broad. They're trying to do too many things. And we've succumbed to the "everybody should go to college" nonsense, which necessitates elastic standards and garbage majors.

The classical liberal arts education still has great value, but a student has to work harder to obtain it. The university no longer presents it as the default option, and no longer maintains the disciplines that gave it structure and strength. A disciplined student at a mega-university can usually still find the courses and professors he needs to become well-educated, but he'll have to do it on his own. And he will graduate with a degree that is indistinguishable from the one awarded to his peers for social activism and navel-gazing, neurosis studies. If he pursues a career that gives scope to disciplined intelligence, broad and competent perspective, and strong analytical and writing skills, employers will eventually sort it out, but that takes time.

All it takes is a few good companies to stop hiring the communist indoctrinated products that these brain washing facilities are producing.
