MK Manuel Trajtenberg joined in an impromptu protest Wednesday morning at the entrance to the Knesset building, stripping in solidarity with several female parliamentary aides unhappy with the legislature’s new dress code. The code, which sets standards for acceptable dress in the country's parliament building, was issued earlier this month.

According to the new rules, both visitors and employees are prohibited from wearing the following pieces of clothing in the Knesset building: tank tops, cropped tops, shorts, ripped pants, clothing bearing explicitly political slogans, flip flops, and miniskirts.

The aides, who work for leftist Yesh Atid MKs Yael German and Karin Elharar, were barred from entering the building, as per Knesset regulations.

Opposition MK Manuel Trajtenberg (Zionist Union), who blasted the restrictions, sarcastically suggesting the female aides needed to come dressed in full-body Islamic cloaks. Trajtenberg proceeded to strip down to his underclothes at the Knesset entrance, in an unorthodox, some would say unfitting, sign of solidarity ...

Old man takes shirt off, goes around in B-ball undershirt. Big deal. I'm just scared that Tzipi might do the same and tie off her shirt above her navel, or otherwise exhibit her body to disadvantage.

It is a matter of being taken seriously. In certain jobs, functions etc... dress codes are appropriate.

When I was in the armed force during the Clinton administration. The Administration actually remarked that there were too many uniforms wandering around the Washington DC aarea. We made it a point to wear our uniforms every day and when the weather was nice we would go for afternoon walks over by the White House just to ensure that we were that little burr underneath the saddle blanket.

LOL. I have no clue who she is, but my guess is she is best viewed fully clothed for the harshest of winter nights.

Note to any fellow female who expects to be taken seriously at work: If you flash your unmentionables when you bend over, dear, your damn skirt is TOO SHORT. Sheesh.

I see nothing here that a reasonable person would protest.

Of course, everyone compares these perfectly reasonable efforts at tidiness and decorum as the equivalent of burqas. I get so tired of the idiocy.

If you flash your unmentionables when you bend over, dear ...

Or when you sit down.

At a recent Trump rally we attended, we saw one local news babe in a dress so tight, I doubt she could sit down in it.

News personnel are some of the tackiest. I suppose it must correlate with higher ratings.

Superanuated leftist legislators, however, are not usually reasonable.

Used to be when men would ogle a woman’s feminine anatomy in an objectionable way, she would say, “I’m up here, sir.” News personnel, having little up there, prefer to distract men with what’s down there.

I looked up crop top and found this unacceptable example of banned clothing. She seems to break all of the established rules
