Vice President Joe Biden said Saturday the late astronaut and former Sen. John Glenn will be remembered by Americans not just for his decades of accomplishments, but for exemplifying what love looks like through his life.
"Jill and I are here because we love you, Annie, and we loved John," Biden said at Glenn's memorial service inside the Mershon Auditorium at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. "And together, you taught us all how to love.

Biden is an Asshat.
John Glenn was an Asshat who was only for John Glenn his entire life. I won't be missing him and I am joined by millions who share my contempt for the old jerk.
Biden will be missed because he was so stupid and a dirty, lecherous old man that gave us, unintentionally, some comic relief with his goofs.

If I remember the movie correctly, Annie had a stutter and John Glenn was extremely protective of her, much to the consternation of LBJ. The love between John and Annie must be to what Slow Joe was referring.
