Aloha: President Obama’s Hawaiian vacations have an $85 million price tag

According to Judicial Watch – the Obama family vacations have cost taxpayers more than $85 MILLION.    And, guess what?   They royal family is off to Hawaii again for their annual Christmas vacation.   Aloha!

The Washington Times reports – It’s travel time for both President Obama and President-elect Donald Trump this weekend, but for widely different reasons. Mr. Obama departs Friday for his Christmas vacation in Hawaii, the last while he is in office. Judicial Watch recently revealed that, to date, the first family’s personal travel expenses have totaled more than $85 million. Last year’s jaunt to Hawaii cost $4.8 million, according to the watchdog, which bases the estimates on information from Freedom of Information Act requests and factors such as the cost of aircraft fuel, among other things. Well. Let’s just say aloha here, ‘tis the season. Enjoy Hawaii. Mr. Obama returns to the nation’s capital Jan. 3.

Meanwhile, Mr. Trump so far has met with 90 prospective Cabinet members in his New York City offices, this according to his transition team. But he has not forgotten his “USA thank you tour,” meant to recognize steadfast voters who never deserted him during a particularly grueling campaign. On Friday, Mr. Trump journeys to Orlando, Florida, for a jumbo rally, accompanied by Vice President-elect Mike Pence. Saturday finds Mr. Trump solo in Mobile, Alabama, for a midafternoon event in a stadium. It is evident that he relishes these jubilant voter visits — very local and authentically down home in nature. They also worked for him.

A few numbers to remember: Mr. Trump won 306 electoral votes, the most for a Republican since George H.W. Bush in 1988. He carried nine of 13 battleground states. He won more than 2,600 counties nationwide, the most since President Reagan in 1984. Additionally, he won 62 million votes in the popular vote, the highest all-time for a Republican nominee — this tally from incoming White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus.

Given the damage that Muslim and his family have done to this country, I wonder whether we’d have been better off to keep their asses on permanent world holiday instead of in Washington effing up our lives these last 8 years.

Send them a bill for personal travel. Go through all their logs and send bills to everyone who went with them that wasn’t immediate family.

I would start with sending bills to those who went on AF1 to take pictures of the Statue of Liberty right after his inauguration.

pffff- chicken feed-:

Taxpayers Spent $1.4 Billion on Obama Family Last Year

“Taxpayers spent $1.4 billion dollars on everything from staffing, housing, flying and entertaining President Obama and his family last year, according to the author of a new book on taxpayer-funded presidential perks.

In comparison, British taxpayers spent just $57.8 million on the royal family.”

http://nation.foxnews.com/obama-family/2012/09/27/taxpayers-spent-14-billion-obama-family-last-year

That is likely higher now- he and his family will have spent over $12 BILLION dollars on themselves when he leaves office

With the usual “scowly” faces of appreciation to the taxpayers, too.

Oh c’mon give us the “real” figure. They carried more than that in spending money to Morocco. Also need the figures on golf course fees and money spent on golf clubs.

After all, this is America’s ruling class living on the backs of the public.. America’s Royalty.

It is long past time the tax payers stop funding presidential vacations.

That practice needs to stop and stop now.

Congress should act and pass a bill prohibiting vacation expenditures.

Well .. I don’t agree with you.

Just because President Obama TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE PERKS OF PAID VACATIONS .. DOESN’T MEAN THEY ALL DO.

I really don’t expect Trump to do that .. he’ll probably go to his resort in Florida. The only perks will be some staff and the Secret Service protection detail. No hotel/rentals bills to pay; probably will cut the vacation expenses to about 1/4 what the Obamas spent.

I do believe the President needs down time, along with a chance to spend time with his family.

It’s the “in your face” nature of the extravagance - who in the real world takes a *17* day vacation at Muslim Christmas time? His summer trips have also been outrageously long. Which is fine maybe for college kids, not the leader of the free world.

The best numbers to put this in perspective would be to compare this to other US POTUSes.

Anyone have any figures on that?

We need to strip this out of the budget.

Thankfully, this will be the last time we have to watch all the vacation activity in Hawaii; while we are freezing.

After January 20, the pressure must be kept up on President Trump and his AG Sessions to bring justice to Traitorobama for giving aid and comfort to the enemy through indictment, trial, conviction, sentencing, and public execution of sentence.
