Yeah I agree. I just echoed what was being reported. Note how they precise they claim to be - not 120 lbs but 117 lbs. :-)

Can’t say who shared this but, at a conference of cardiologists, a clinical investigator said they had stayed at Ornish’s place, and when they went to get ice cubes out of the freezer—— voila— a “vegan” kilo of heavy duty weed was there (the “buds” were evident), Ornish being a big time stoner... and vegan.

The “vegan” diet while supposed to reverse coronary artery disease, does not help with post “event” surgery/stents/bypass that billy boy had. He prior had all the classic markings for a coronary (inclusive of family history heart attack) and a love... for high saturated fat (and the “vegan” fat and carbs can be deadly for a high triglyceride lipid profile and genetic markers— all of which more is known about these days). Better an “anti-inflammatory” type diet... so that the high bad cholesterol is not oxidized to become inflammatory to existing or recovering coronary artery lesions. The assumption that “vegan” is better is useful for younger potential high risk heart attack victims, who cannot tolerate medical intervention that would help (allergic to meds, muscle breakdown from statins, kidney disease and other biochemical markers). Sorry for this coffee based data dump, but billy boy has a whole lot of things wrong, the equal of which is syphilis, and his end stage heart/vascular disease. In short a wreck, reminiscent of Augustus or Tiberius (of Rome).

Are you familiar with Dr. Caldwell Esslestyn, a cardiologist at the Cleveland Clinic? He has used a low fat, no oil, vegan diet for his heart patients for years.

I appreciate his work, but disagree with the prohibition on nuts and avocado. I think natural fats are fine and good for the skin and hair, but that one can overdo the manufactured oils.

There are many vegan athletes, body builders, etc. Esselstyn’s own son, Rip, is a former triathlete and fireman. But there are vegans and there are vegans. You can eat pasta and potato chips or you can eat a variety of beans, veg, leafy greens, etc. I’m on a Facebook page ‘What Fat Vegans Eat.’ There are pictures of some of the loveliest, healthiest foods from all over the world. Then there are the pics of plates of french fries. : )
