“We’re certainly going to request recognition of our independence and recognition of our [2019] independence referendum result, as we’re going to request that the entire international community recognizes the results.”

Literally delusional. The only question at this point is how much shooting there will be in the inevitable Civil War.

I hope Trump builds a wall around CA.

BTW, have you ever noticed that the abbreviation for California is CA, and the abbreviation for cancer is also CA. Coincidence? I think not.

The last time I checked, this question was settled in 1865. Set up a blockade of the coast, seal all of the state's borders, establish the state as a no-fly zone, and remove their governor and legislature as co-conspirators in treason. THEN, we can begin a rational dialog.

Not that I have an opinion about the state, or anything....

“We’re not requesting military assistance from Russia,” Marinelli explained.

How bout “election assistance” from Russia to remove Jerry Brown, Harris, Pelosi et al?

When the South tried to do what California is talking about (seceding) the Federal Government fought tooth and nail to stop it.

We ended up with 600,000 dead Americans and another 400,000 wounded.

Will the Feds fight California the way they did the South?

This time a lot of illegals would be among the casualties.

There might be some issues to resolve vis a vis San Diego Naval base, Camp Pendleton, and the National Parks that belong to all Americans, but I'm sure we can work out something that lets the urban centers of San Francisco, Oakland, and Los Angeles split off to misgovern themselves. As long as there's a good high armed border wall surrounding all three we should be good.

Maybe Putin will offer to monitor their 2018 elections

Or just send teams of ngo’s to open up dialogue about democracy with state dissidents

Fine. Let Russia finance the millions of parasites in what used to be the Golden State. Let all those illegals demand their ‘rights’ from the Russian Federation - see how far they get.

They’ll be singing ‘My Country Tis of Thee’ faster than you can say Amigos.

Marinelli has previously filed several ballot initiative proposals relating to secession for California. However, none of them has been successful in gathering enough signatures to go to a public vote.

If at first you don't secede, try, try again...

“We're not requesting military assistance from Russia”

That's good.

Calexit will have to be on a county-by-county basis only, and those counties that choose to exit will have to become "Protectorates" of the United States because of the Monroe Doctrine. Now that we have that understanding, Calexit will receive considerable support from the rest of the U.S.A.

After all the illegals, welfare queens and gun grabbers move to the People’s Republic of California, what’s to stop the tech companies — that do their manufacturing offshore — from moving their corporate HQs out of the state? Aren’t most of them incorporated in Delaware, anyway?

All for a vote in California to allow secession. They also have to allow those counties that want to stay to form a new California whose values align with the rest of the country.

WOuld do the same for Oregon and Seattle.

We will not miss LA. SAn Francisco, Portland, Seattle.
