Obama Admits Hillary "Lost Badly" By Failing To "Make An Argument" That Inspired People To "Show Up"
Zero Hedge ^ | 12/19/16 | Tyler Durden

After weeks of pushing the "Russian hacking" narrative, mostly through White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, Obama is finally admitting that Hillary "lost badly" in her presidential bid by failing to make an argument to people in the Midwest that inspired them to "show up." In an "exit interview" with NPR, Obama said that Democrats face "structural problems" with their base clustered in urban areas on the coasts which requires presidential candidates to make their case to swing voters in the Midwest, something he says Hillary failed to do. Per The Hill:

Of course, when pressed on whether the electorate understood the democratic argument and simply chose to reject it, Obama assured NPR that that simply couldn't be the case. As Obama has told us many times, if anyone disagrees with his position on a certain policy then it is simply because they must not fully understand it.

"There are some things that we know are a challenge for Democrats — structural problems," he said.

Obama noted that Democratic voters are often clustered in urban areas and on the coasts.

"So as a consequence, you've got a situation where there're not only entire states but also big chunks of states where, if we're not showing up, if we're not in there making an argument, then we're going to lose," he said.

"And we can lose badly, and that's what happened in this election."

Perhaps the President is admitting that a little less golf in his second term might have been beneficial to his party?

This is so transparent. Hillary’s camp had just started blaming Obama for not doing more about the Russian hacks. So of course the Malignant Narcissist has to come barreling back in full, ‘It’s all Hillary’s fault,’ mode.

Heaven help her if she doubles down on her criticism of Obama; he’ll just take the gloves off and lay her out like a side of beef.

Her message (whatever THAT was) resonated in Detroit. More people voted for her than were registered to vote.
Ain’t democracy grand? /sarc

I recall he said this in late September. “I will consider it a personal insult, an insult to my legacy, if this community lets down its guard and fails to activate itself in this election,” “You want to give me a good sendoff? Go vote!”

They didn't and he should.

She “lost badly” because she has “electile dis function” and what is even more fun, it is the 2nd time she has lost. Will there be a 3rd time?

Won’t be long before the Clintons and obamas can go back to hating each other.

Hillary tried to run on obamas record too. That is not the way to win. If she could have been honest about the failed Obama regime, she might could have won.

I had been wondering what Obama’s logic was in both pushing the Russian hacking narrative and also taking swipes at Hillary for a poor campaign. I thought he should pick one or the other — either Trump won because of Russian hacking or the hacking is a smokescreen to cover the fact that Hillary is a horrible candidate. But now I think I understand. Obama is just settling scores. He doesn’t like Trump and he doesn’t like Hillary. So he takes shots at both of them.

Hillary was expecting President to be handed to her so why should she do anything

Here is why.

1. Monumental effort to overthrow Obamism by Trump and the electorate. If not rolled back now, we would have it forever.
2. Hillary had not the stamina to go everywhere she needed to and could not justify the trips because she would have no crowd.
3. America does not like her and the deliberate strategy was to maintain a low profile. Deception in other words.
4. Servers and emails show more deception and disdain for rules and the public.
5. Continuing deception and disdain of public by Obama with further immigration pushes.

Bottom line was electorate knew we must have new direction now and Hillary was not going to supply that.

Oh, PLEASE, Lord, let HRC keep blaming Zero. Let them snipe at each other over control of the party until angry white guys - and gals! - are permanently peeled off to our voter rolls.

The cobbled-together grievance groups (that secretly despise each other) constitute the PERFECT ‘soul’ of the party, LOL!

Absolutely! She expected the presidency because she is the smartest woman in the world! It was her turn!

Remember when the media told us how smart she was back when her husband was prez? She never got around to proving it to us.

Those evil Russians hacked her brain and made her an uninspiring candidate.

It would be very entertaining if Hillary were to take another swipe at Obama. When he’s in a position to bully, he does it to the hilt. He would so demolish her, they’d need dental x-rays to make a positive ID.

I doubt she’ll try it, though. Now that Obama has demonstrated how any attempt to blame him will be dealt with, she’ll likely go back to simply whining about the Russians.

I dont know. I was kind of looking forward to having a bloated, sickly, insane, mean, greedy, ultra far left leader who owed the middle east leaders a million favors and was going to shut down energy production in the US.

You mean the message that “she was going to put the coal miners our of work” did not resonate to the “people”?

Isn’t that odd? I was sure she had it sewn up with the ‘we’re going to take things away from you for the common good’ rhetoric she’s spouted for 30 years.

And that melodic, seductive voice.. how were they able to resist that siren song?
