Telemundo Solves Riddle Of Latino Trump Voters Through Actual Journalism
NewsBusters.org ^ | December 20, 2016 | Jorge Bonilla

The question hangs heavy over our domestic Spanish-language news media: "Why did Hispanics vote for Donald Trump?" As the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States continues to approach, our two leading networks took widely divergent approaches to this question.

Univision has chosen to treat the question as if it were an unsolvable enigma- not unlike a 17-sided Rubik's Cube delivered straight from the bowels of hell. Anchors and hosts alike have been utterly confounded as to the reasons why a vast number of Latinos would reject the network's messaging (not to mention the network itself). Anchor Jorge Ramos simply wrote off those Latino Trump voters as having "forgotten where they came from", rather than asking tough questions to which one does not know the (brutal) answer.

But Telemundo took a different approach. Rather than speculate as to the motives of Latino Trump voters, Telemundo found these voters...and spoke to them, and got some answers. From last Thursday's edition of Noticiero Telemundo:

RE post #16 ...

I didn't mean to leave the impression that I support dual (or multiple) citizenship, I personally think it should be illegal.

Latinos are not a single voting block even though Dems think they are. There are many distinct groups. The most overlooked group are the ones who’s families have been here for generations. We are Americans first, period! My family came to NM in 1598. We have no connection to any other country.

I know, but I believe there are pretty solid grounds for REVOCATION for Mr Ramos, according to the LAW.

“Like Elizabeth, many other Hispanics overlooked the threats of deportation and the construction of a wall, and trusted in his promises of jobs.”

They act like no legal Hispanics who are threatened by the flood of illegals, gangs, drugs, etc. are in support of deportations (esp. of criminals) and the wall. Not everyone puts their ethnicity above all other concerns.

American citizens who happen to be Hispanic voted for Trump. Those who voted for Hillary remembered exactly where they came from...illegally.

The biggest economic threat a legal blue collar worker (Latino or Anglo) faces is illegal immigration. They'll lose their jobs or face reduced wages because employers can pay them less, and if you are a small business owner you competition can under bid you if they hire illegals.

This is truth even if Ramos can't figure it out.

The constituency of the Left literally idolize those in Academia and their devotion too them approaches worship. Liberals have little to no faith in their own ability to succeed and in their insecurity seek out someone who will promise them “care” throughout their useless and miserable lives.

It is difficult to face ones own failure and the elected democrats have found the solution for that in providing their voters with excuses for their failures which always put the reasons for this failure on someone else.

Liberals in their heart, mind and body are weak, frightened people who cannot and will not ever face up to the fact they are totally responsible for the position they and their Party are in today.

I know some people very well who regularly speak Spanish (and whose English is less than fluent) and who voted for Trump. The biggest reason is anger at paying taxes to support illegal immigrants getting benefits that they don’t get because they earn too much money to qualify.

Telemundo could be a thing of the past very soon. UNIVISION---the parent company----is about 9 billion dollars in debt. They had hoped to be bailed out via an IPO...but that's not happening.

The ties between the Clintons, Haim Saban, creator of the Spanish TV television network---UNIVISION (Telemundo's parent company)---run deep. Univision's newscasts on Telemundo gleefully bash Republicans and praise Hillary’s newly-minted position on immigration.

Network Owner Haim Saban’s unabashed support for Hillarys election effort segued into (surprise) a partnership between Univision and the Clinton Family Foundation.

====================================================

NY POST EXCERPT---Saban's Univision recently trotted out Bill Clinton to talk to advertisers----as private equity owners of the debt-laden company sweat it out. Univision’s owners are hoping to launch the IPO in just weeks.

Getting early commitments on ad spending from Madison Avenue would certainly make an IPO road show before potential investors that much easier....they hope to raise around $1 billion at a valuation of $20 billion, according to Reuters. (Univision has $9 billion in long-term debt.)

Mexican program provider Televisa also has an 8 percent stake.Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank — the lead underwriters — are getting ready to gin up some sizzle for a not very sexy Univision business: called free-to-air.

THE BIG BURRITO---HILLARY/BILL CLINTON MEDIA CONNECTION---Latino-TV Univision owner, Haim Saban described his formula to influence American politics: (a) make donations to political parties, (b) establish think tanks, and, (c) control media outlets. (source: WIKI)

=========================================

Mother Jones, in an analysis of the major donors to the campaigns of 1998 election cycle, ranked Saban 155th among individual donors. Amy Paris noted that Saban's Clinton-era "generosity did not go unrewarded. During the Clinton administration, Saban served on the President's Export Council, advising the White House on trade issues."

The New York Times reported that Haim and his wife "slept in the White House several times during President Clinton's two terms." Saban remains close friends with the former President. Clinton described Saban as a "very good friend and supporter."

Saban contributed between $5-10 million to the William J. Clinton Foundation.

During the 2000 presidential election, Saban increased his rank to 5th among individual donors with a combined contribution of $1,250,500. Saban was the largest overall contributor to the Democratic National Committee during the 2001–2002 cycle." Saban's donations during that 2001–2002 period exceeded $10 million, the largest donation the DNC has received from a single source up to that time.

In September 2004, Hillary Clinton described Saban as a very good friend, supporter and adviser: "I am grateful for his commitment to Israel, to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East and to my foundation's work, particularly on reconciliation issues." In May 2007, Haim publicly declared his support for Clinton in 2008 presidential election.

In June 2007, Saban and Steven Spielberg co-hosted a Hillary Clinton fundraiser at the house of Peter Chernin, the President of News Corporation. According to the Los Angeles Times,the fundraiser brought in over $850,000.

WIKI--Latino UNIVISION'S Saban became involved in politics in the mid-1990s when he felt that support for Israel was slipping in the United States.[5] Saban has been a generous and consistent donor to the Democratic Party according to his mandatory Federal Election Commission filings.

In March 2008, Saban was among a group of major Jewish donors to sign a letter to Democratic Party house leader Nancy Pelosi warning her to "keep out of the Democratic presidential primaries."

The donors, who "were strong supporters of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton presidential campaign", "were incensed by a March 16 interview in which Pelosi said that party 'superdelegates' should heed the will of the majority in selecting a candidate."[27] The letter to Pelosi stated the donors "have been strong supporters of the DCCC" and implied, according to The Jewish Telegraphic Agency,[27] that Pelosi could lose their financial support in important upcoming congressional elections.

Saban, a long-time supporter and donor of many pro-Jewish and Israel causes, has stated his main goal in multiple interviews: "I'm a one-issue guy, and my issue is Israel."[38]

Haim Saban touts himself as a worldwide pioneer and leader in the entertainment industry. He is the Chairman and CEO of Saban Capital Group, Inc.

THIS IS SABAN'S BUSINESS WEB SITE http://www.saban.com/html/team/saban.html

==================================================

Haim Saban One of Hillary Clinton’s key supporters – who has donated more than $15 million to her presidential campaign and the Clinton Foundation – used a controversial Panamanian law firm to set up offshore companies. Saban once admitted to a Senate panel that he used phony investment losses to dodge hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes....

Hillary fanatic Haim Saban has a non-profit..."The Saban Center". Saban subsidized a 34-page white paper titled, “Pathway to Coexistence: A New U.S. Policy toward Iran.”

NO CONCIDENCE The paper essentially forecasted Obama’s approach to dealing with Iran: (1) the largely hands-off approach to Iran’s bloody 2009 Green Revolution, and, (2) the present-day compromises on its nuclear program.
