The nice thing about Baptists, especially Southern Baptists, is that they can make up their own minds about what the Bible teaches.
A church can disfellowship a member, or a member can find another church. Heck, Jiimmy Carter went and founded his own denomination.

In retrospect, Jimmy Carter wasn’t an evil America hating atheist gay moslem president. His policies were quite wrong, and he wasn’t up to the job, but he was a saint compared to the last 8 years of hell.
Can anyone imagine Jimmy Carter back in the 70s hanging condoms on a Christmas tree? Or having students with sex toys visit the white house and making a big joke about it?
Also, I don’t remember Carters humor always 100% of the time making others the butt of his jokes.
And I can make a reasonable case that Rosalyn was the only sane first lady since about 1970.
I never thought id see the day when Carter looked so good.
