Ben Ferguson Dismantles Ivanka Trump Pay-for-Play Accusations (St. Jude)
Newbusters ^

Posted on 12/22/2016 6:52:09 AM PST by Sybeck1

The liberal media had been trying to make a lot of hay out of accusations that the Trump family had tried to sell access to themselves and their president-elect father. So far such concerns seem to have little merit since all of the instances pointed to by accusers have not actually happened. But that didn’t stop it from being a topic of conversation on CNN’s OutFront on Wednesday. “This has been a stumbling block for the Trumps,” argued fill in host Poppy Harlow, after a long winded report about the accusations was aired, “Why even open yourself up to this criticism?”

Conservative radio host Ben Ferguson was on hand, and completely dismantled the ridiculous controversy surrounding an auction where participants would bid on having coffee with Ivanka Trump:

They weren't personally benefitting from this. You look at the $70,000 coffee for example. It was going to help children with cancer at St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital. That’s not personally benefitting Ivanka Trump or Donald Trump. That is something that people should’ve supported. Because you have children that are there getting life-saving treatment.

It appeared to be something Ferguson was every passionate about, because it was in his home town of Memphis and, “And it makes me personally angry because people have turned it into somehow this money was going into their pocket, or was going to personally benefit them.”

The media had the choice to one of two things. Understand that they didn’t know their ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to understanding what’s really wrong with this country and knowing the REAL America, OR double and triple-down on the same old shit they’ve been pulling for years.

They’ve opted for the low road - again. It is time for them to end.

The corrupt left figures since they do the pay-for-play crime; they think everyone does because in their warped mind they don’t see anything wrong with it when they do it; only when others do. The same old end justifies the means justification relieves them from feeling any guilt. That is if they could feel anything... Can’t shame a liberal.

There are no limits to how low the slime media, especially the Clinton Notnews Network will go to LIE about PRESIDENT TRUMP and everyone in his family.

It's not going to end.

You watch. Contributions to St Jude will sky rocket as people become more aware of their support of it.

I didn't know of it myself.

I'd be more inclined to support them now than before.

Eric Trump's Foundation primary charity is St. Jude's Children's Hospital. It has built a surgery and ICU wing and provided operations money to the Hospital.

FYI---Look up Trump Organization and it is all there. The charities, the number of women employed in management positions, board members, etc.

It was always there is one had an inquiring mind.

This is an interesting story from a few years ago about how much the Head of St Jude’s made as his salary. It hacked off some parents of cancer kids

I don’t make it a habit to follow celebrities or the rich and famous and so don’t usually care what they are up to.

The only reason what Trump is doing has come on my radar is because he is not President Elect. Otherwise, I would have continued to not care what he was up to.

You know, I am never envious or insulted because someone makes a certain income. My experience has been that they earn it, if not then they aren't there very long.

It says in the Bible that to whom much is given, much will be required. I have a nephew who has a software company. It is his whole life. He eats, sleeps, plays and so on for that company.

In addition, I have never been hired to do a job by a welfare recipient or a poor person.

Just saying.

If I actually ever met one in person, I’d have the devil of a time to keep from busting them in the chops. They are all scum.

When it comes to selling access, the Trumps can’t hold a candle on the Clinton Crime Family. When it came to investigating them, though, they were, and still are, AWOL.

The issue that charities have to negotiate is that successful CEOs and senior managers will command top dollar from for-profit businesses as well.

That $1 Million CEO may be able to get $1.5 or $2 Million from a regular company. So they may actually taking a pay cut to run the charity.

CEO compensation is less of an indicator than the percentage actually used on programs compared to fund-raising and overhead. IIRC, St. Judes is pretty good with almost 70% going toward actual programs.

There is no reason why their support has to end. But they have to realize that there is a difference between soliciting donations in exchange for coffee with Ivanka Trump, business woman and daughter of the guy on Celebrity Apprentice, and coffee with Ivanka Trump, advisor to the President of the United States. Her motives may be as pure as the driven snow but she cannot control what the contributors hope to discuss with her during her coffee, and what agenda they may have.

Funny how the corrupt butt kissing press never noticed Bill and Hillary socking away million in their 'pay to play look alike routines'...

But with the Trumps? No money has to pass hands and the corrupt little scribes are all over the non-story. Eff the bimbos at msnbc and the Washington Post wannabees... and their breathless coverage of nothing.

When there’s an auction to benefit a charity, there are frequently packages developed where the guest can meet someone “special”. Sometimes it involves a dinner as well.

This IS NOT the same as buying access for political purposes. It’s just a way to raise money for the benefit of the charity.

Democrats are such bottom feeders. This isn’t pay to play at all. Otherwise everyone buying a package like this would be guilty of something. They aren’t, and there’s no problem here.

Ridiculous!

The liberals don’t understand that the Trumps are not low class trash like the Clintons and the Obamas are.

I don’t believe St. Judes turns away any kids and there service is free, so why are the children’s parents complaining?

Not to mention cigar club sessions on the Oval Office desk.
